Has anyone stopped to think that Keith (and Mick and Charlie) have been asked the same dumb questions for 30 years. Good for him for giving an answer that wasn't in the playbook.

A great song for sure. A whole range of emotions. The last verse is a bit of a downer. I think the last verse is left out of the Unplugged version.

I've refrained from joining this discussion so far because I keep telling myself that the original poster is a 13 year old from Peoria, IL (apologies to resident Peorians). He is SO proud that this thread is approaching 5 pages.

It was John Lennon who said that (I'm paraphrasing) that if they ever decided to change the name of rock n roll, they would call it Chuck Berry.

While the stadium stages are higher, this is taken into account for those sitting in the front row(s). Generally, the first row is situated far enough back from the stage so that you can see everything on stage. I saw Springsteen from the 4th row in a stadium and could see all performers, including Max Weinberg (drummer). My point is that first row in a stadium is not nearly as close to the stage

The guest artist credits are not song-specific on Dirty Work. I was wondering which songs Patti Scialfa sings on. I seem to pick up that Jersey twang on Too Rude and One Hit to the Body. Is this right? Any other songs?

Thanks. I also watched "Be My Baby". Anyone know why Estelle wasn't on stage. She only comes out at the end for the bow. A younger woman sings in her place during the song.

Good point keithfan. Often, solos are played in the same key as the song, but blues harp (or "cross harp") is used for accompaniment.

I've played a bit of harmonica. The Hohner Blues Harp and Hohner Marine Band are good choices. Like most posters on this thread, I learned by copying recorded music. I learned a lot of the Springsteen harp solos (The Promised Land, Thunder Road) and I'm not too proud to say that I can nail the solo in The Romantics' "What I Like About You".
