QuoteCocaine Eyes QuoteGazza QuoteCocaine Eyes Regarding the 'guest list' - I wasn't on the guest list for Toronto's Horseshoe Tavern but I got in. Sometimes you merely have to be kind and polite for things to work out. That said.....I'd be betting on TWO warm-up gigs in Paris. Then, back to rehearsals for a few more weeks before the London shows. This is true, but t

Quotetoomuchforme Mogador is not that small. It almost as the Olympia 1800 capacity There could be a chance to get a tix if it is not a privatized show. Anyway I wil be around that night (pics from the backstage exit for sure if I can't get in). It's almost certain this will be a private show (if the Stones are in fact confirmed to perform). Gazza has mentioned a possible club

Frankly I'm not entirely convinced they're going to pull this one off. Looks like most of the O2, and certainly all of the good seats, are £406, a gigantic sum. That's usually the price of VIP packages for other big acts. Is that market price ? Maybe, but I've got a feeling they're pushing their luck...
Forum: Tell Me

I see the VIP package features post-concert snacks. I might have to consider it then. Also note that standing tickets in the tongue pit are available as part of the VIP packages. I'm under the impression that the 'price range' is in fact not really a range and that 106 and 406pounds are the ONLY prices. What gives ?

It takes 20 miute by LIRR ( Long Island Railroad) to get to MSG at Penn Station, in the middle of Manhattan. Please consult a map or visit the LIRR website. Quotesteverogan QuoteGazza Quotesteverogan I have a place in NYC to stay. Twenty minutes from Mahattan. $5000/ night: includes a bed, breakfast and free transportation. Negotiable. Well, all in all, pretty damn awesome. The Jeff Beck part felt off the cuff and somewhat half baked, but at least it was different. Mick is obviously stageready , so get the Beck/Jagger tour going. As for the mass delusion on this board, I just looked up the stages of grief on Wikipedia, and they are : - Denial - Anger - Bargaining - Depression - Acceptance Sound familiar ? Maybe it

Quotedcba What I never liked about Prince is that he tried to wrap his music in hipness. What strikes me is how many of these arguments could be leveled at the Stones. The Stones have always been kings of PR and were very much happy to be the hippest dudes in Swinging London. As for 'trying to wrap his music in hipness', that sounds more like Mick today frankly. Surprised no one has mentioned the time when Keith started playing It's Only R'n'R instead of the initially planned Satisfaction. Mick, however, sticks to the plan, so for the whole beginning of the song we are treated to a an IORR/Satisfaction mash-up. Unfortunately I can't remember at which show this happened. A mid 2000's show, and it's well documented on bootleg

Well, I'm back. I agree that it was a very mixed kind of night. Some great stuff, some not so great, and mostly all of it revolved around Keith. He did a fine job on All Down the Line which I loved, was great on the second solo of Sympathy, had his moments on rhythm guitar during the CYHMK jam. His first solo on Sympathy was bad, his solo during LTSTNT was terrible, and, overall, he had a h

Questions : -Did they butcher Heartbreaker like they usually do ? -How was Ronnie on CYHMK ? -What up with the 'I'll Go Crazy' choice ? Certainly not one of JB's best songs ; doesn't really seem suited for proper jamming, and no obvious slot for a Lisa solo. Anyway, great setlist. Thanks to all those who kept us updated.

The Scorsese documentary will not be like 'No Direction Home', Mick said it would be more of a 'concert movie'. As for the 4 DVD set, WTF??? There better be some nice surprises on there, because even though Austin had a nice setlist and rio was great to watch live,if it's like Four Flicks with 3 concerts and a documentary, I might not buy it. Seriously , what's the
