They (he) recorded the ultimate glam rock album: Electric Warrior. And being a huge Bowie fan, that's not easy for me to say. Electric Warrior also has one of the coolest album covers of all time.

I was there yesterday. Bad sound. A bit of automatic pilot. But when they performed great, they performed really great. Running To Stand Still was an absolute highlight for me. 2 times Vertigo indeed. I checked some US setlists and they did that a couple of times. I hoped they weren't going to do that in Belgium, but they did... and actually it was really cool. The second time was wi

August contains a Michael Jackson composition. Uncredited that is. I don't think that die hard Clapton fans know this. But 'Behind The Mask' is a Jackson/Sakamoto/Mosdell tune. Believe it or not. That's just some trivia.

They're alright. Very intresting production by Mutt Lange. They can write decent hooks, very catchy choruses. They had a winning formula in the 80s and early 90s. Feel good music. Songs like Pour Some Sugar On Me, Let's Get Rocked and many others is like an adrenaline shot. And Joe Elliot has a guest spot on Ron Woods Slide On This.

They don't look very good, but a great band, especially great songwriting. But hard to find a great song after Spirits Having Flown. Like alreday said their singles 1975-1979 was truly amazing. How Can You Mend a Broken Heart: Good song, but you have to hear Al Greens cover version... truly amazing.

I have an entire different opinion. On the last tours there was one man that was worth seeing and listening to and that's Jagger. (Ok, Charlie is also doing a good job) Jagger was the man that said: we are going on tour. He is the man that decides if they are going to record a new album. And the most important thing: nowadays the great songs are Jagger compositions... not Richards. Mic

Keith isn't the musical engine anymore since Exile. Ofcourse he wrote some great stuff after that, but the band became Jaggers.

"Americans are not as easily fooled" There is music that sells in Europe and not in the States. But there's also music that sells in the States and not in Europe. It has nothing to do with fooling people. And by the way... Morning Glory reached quadruple platinum in the states. Be Here Now entered the charts at #2. Oasis was a phenomenon in the mid 90s. The released a fabulo

Don Was is a good producer who can make the guitars sound dirty. Just listen to The Black Crowes' Lions. Great guitars. It's Don Was & The Glimmer Twins. It could be that a twin wants it to sound more slick.

Micks falsetto live on WAY was a bit disappointing IMHO. But in general I really like his falsetto. It makes his 'normal' singing sound so better. I mean, in songs like Worried About You his falsetto is great, but the best part is when sings like he normally does. The song get better the longer it runs. Same thing goes for Sweet Thing. Great falsetto, but his grawl is the best pa

Man Utd is a better team ofcourse. But their goalie lost a couple of matches. Congrats Liverpool. And that's not really hard to say for a United fan.

Dusted my Bitches Brew album. A couple of years ago there was a thread about jazz albums and this album was regarded as very overrated. I disagreed big time if I remember well. And I still do. What a great album.

It's the greatest album they released in the 90s IMHO. Great live tracks, especially Street Fighting Man, Like A Rolling Stone & Dead Flowers. And the new versions of older songs are up there with the originals. And if one of the songs is Wild Horses... you understand I really like this album. And I give this album high ratings, it could have been even better (if you see what el

Velvet Revolver is band with has-been members. And you hear it... slash can still play... but listen to those songs... they're crap IMHO. Black Eyed Peas released some nice singles from their previous album. It doesn't have to be a rock act as a support act.

It are the stones that are number 1 (Voodoo Lounge Tour) and number 2 (Licks World Tour) on the all time most succesful worldtours list.... not U2. And so what... who cares if U2 is more popular these days. They're a great band. The Stones were actually never the most popular band (60s: The Beatles, 70s: Led Zeppelin, 80s: Michael Jackson)... but the stones were incredibly popular in a

I agree with Michael Mead LV. Most of them are way too long. Brown Sugar on the Voodoo Lounge was nearly 7 minutes. Same goes for JJF and others. But I can understand why they play these classics in all the stadiums. That's why they do stadiums, arenas & clubs.

I rate "Oh no Not You Again" (1 to 6 points, 1 lowest, 6 highest) : 3/6 6. Advice to the Stones for the new tour: No alcohol. But I'm not really a new face.
