These musicians don’t ride public transit and certainly are not “front line” workers, nor are they called to fill-in on their days off. They are, however, able to perform via social media.

I really didn’t understand exactly what was meant by “ paleocon” and “libertarian”. When I think of Frank Zappa, I ask myself “What bloody chords are you playing and where is this bloody going?!”

“Second Floor Records” in Richmond,Virginia and “Rasputin’s” in Berkeley, California had all the boots. I used to trade tapes with Brad Blank and a guy called Freddy, who had all the Wizardo and Phoneygraf titles.

First of all let me compliment BV on his enduring patience, particularly with this OT and others. Indeed,IORR is one of the first sites I go to for COVID coverage. The links to scientific journals are especially helpful. As regards the subject at hand, the question seems to be: What will emerge the two distinct universes, which are in the deepest ways opposed? One thing, however, we can agree on i

There are no matrix numbers. Only Side-1 Side-4 on the first disc and Side-2 Side-3 on the second disc. Note that the S is capitalized and the dash is very faint.

I can understand selling or trading in CDs by any artist, because I prefer the sound of analogue-to-analogue, especially vinyl recorded before the digital era. I wouldn’t let go of, for example, the amazing interplay of Brian and Keith on “ 19th Nervous Breakdown”, nor John and George on “And Your Bird Can Sing”.

Mr. Gutfeld attended UC Berkeley in the mid eighties and said that it influenced his political outlook. I lived in the Bay Area back then. “Rather Ripped Records” was on the north side of the campus and I went their very frequently for their boot Rolling Stones vinyl. A few blocks south of the main gate was “Rasputin’s,” with bin after bin of colored vinyl boots, just to the left of the door. As

Bob Dylan’s “ Blood on the Tracks” acetate was released on RSD, and from what I’m told, it was among a handful of titles that fans stood in line overnight for. Abkco, are you listening? Would anyone like to comment on what would be involved in releasing, for example the “Ya-ya’s” or “Let it Bleed” acetates.

Is he referring to short, catchy pop tunes that may contain some incidental notes outside of the prevailing key? ... If this article were a hard copy, the paper would curl up its edges in embarrassment and let the office fan blow it towards a less conspicuous ar

I would recommend these two magazines: How To Play Guitar (Rhythm)w/CD,Vol.3,No. 1, Miller Freeman, Inc. 1996 & Guitar World w/CD June 2010. There are several books about open tuning. Most have only a few pages covering open G. However, this Australian title looks interesting: “The Open Tuning Book For Guitar: 312 Chords For Open D and Open G”. Study Keith’s palette of open G chords, and pay

I grew up in the suburbs of London and San Francisco, so I would have to say, as regards “gained in stature over time”: Moby Grape, the Flamin’ Groovies, the Move, the Chocolate Watchband, the Seeds, the Count Five, in other words, all those bands that, in the mid -70s, reluctantly endured the subsequent adjectives relating to “punk”. The Groovies, in particular Mike Wilhelm, Chris Wilson and Cyr

Re: Hyde Park ‘69 version of Johnny Winter’s “I’m Yours And I’m Hers”. The Stones must have realized that covering this song in a respectful manner was a huge undertaking. So, given that the original is in A, the band artfully seizes upon the nearest key,G, which Keith can manage quite well in open tuning. They begin with Johnny’s signature lick; the intro is now the instrumental “b-part”, and aw
