Can't You Hear Me Knocking in Casino stands out for me. It also surprisingly showed up in Spider-Man:Homecoming, although they lowered the vocals/volume for the 'cocaine eyes' lyric.

Seems to me, a turning point was in 1989 when they added 'fashion clothing' to the swag lineup, when Mick and Charlie got involved in the designs with lyrics all over them and whatnot. It only got worse from there.

Yes they have a great feel for music almost 3 times their age. They probably look to bands like Haim (who cover Oh Well) as much as the Stones, but still, nice to see musical lineage.

51 going on 17. I share birthdays with: Dick Smothers (1939) / Dr John (1941) / Norman Greenbaum ('Spirit in the Sky', 1942) / Duane Allman (1946) / Joe Walsh (1947) / Mike D (Beastie Boys, 1965) ...and Joe Biden (1942) Does that make me a comedic-funky-poppy-bluesy-rockin'-rappin'-politico?

Pretty intense drama that does a good job portraying Asia in the 70's with an appropriate soundtrack. Some of the accents, especially the actress portraying the French Canadian girlfriend, are pretty terrible, but it's a minor gripe and doesn't really detract from the overall story once you accept them.

It's nice to 'buy' an autograph (and on a poster for $20 is very reasonable), but to me, it's much more treasured if you actually get it firsthand from the artist.

At least they got Steel Wheels and Dirty Work right. They mention the 1989 SW tour as "to test just how high a ticket price the contemporary market can take", it seems moot, since the Jacksons were charging roughly the same in 1984, and packing them in.

"Each player will play David Bowie, or more accurately, a persona of David Bowie. The object of the game is to achieve the greatest legacy of any Bowie and survive the 1970’s. Legacy is judged by points earned from cutting records (flat, black, round- oh, nevermind). There is one slight problem. The Bowies are endangered by various threats, dark princes, and figures of the occult (which is i

Funny how when people talk about Yes, the first 2 albums ('Yes' & 'Time and a Word') are seldom mentioned. I prefer the more straightforward early songs than the epic 'prog' they became known for - although 'The Yes Album' is something of a transition. While most have never heard of (guitarist) Peter Banks, he was a visionary in his own right, even if h

Overall I like the new album. The drums are rudimentary and vocals a bit warbly. There are a few acoustic songs, and a couple of piano based ones. Not a lot of rocking, but it's all Paul and worthy listening.

Also of note, is the movie 'Head' from 1968, partly written and produced by Jack Nicholson, and starring the Monkees. It includes songs written by Carole King and Harry Nilsson, and even features cameos by Frank Zappa, Dennis Hopper, and Annette Funicello. It's sort of an anti-corporate Monkees 'art' (read: trippy and nonsensical) film, and was basically sabotaged in mark

While the audio and video quality of the bonus disc concert footage is stellar, there are simply way too many visual dropouts of a still frame saying "All Cameras Stopped", for many minutes on end - usually during an impressive guitar solo. Sometimes it cuts back in for 30 seconds, then still frame again. Also, much of the 'lost footage' is crowd shots. So it's really a f

Seems like he was feeling a tad rusty after 6 years of hardly any live performances, and wanted to basically warm up and test the waters with then-current audiences in large venues, in a country far enough away from the US or UK to avoid excessive media exposure (and probably the other Stones) in case it didn't come off so great. If he'd done a small arena or theatre tour, like Keith d
