Unfortunately it wasn't a concert but the one song. But that was enough. I saw him here in Toront last year still puts on a great show. The headliner was a fellow by the name of Jimmy Johnson (no not that JJ lol). He was 84 years old. What a show he put on, superb player. Only ever met one other famous musician - Stompin Tom Connors. You folks down in the states likely have never heard of hi

Thanks Mongoose. Great perspective. I caught Buddy Guy at his club a few years ago when he showed up out of the blue. Got a picture with him and a few words. "just here to get drunk like you". Loved that. He was 77 at the time. I asked him if he would play that night and he said no. I then told him my favorite seen in Shine A Light was his guest spot. Then halfway through the headliners

I think it's sad that live music seems to be fading away. At least on that local level. I grew up in Canada east of Montreal. I'm 50 so I was going to the bars in the mid 80's. Man I didn't appreciate it then but I was blessed to see some pretty remarkable talent. Couple of the guys had played or went on to play with the likes of John Mayall and Long John Baldry. Brian Monty a

I watched The Wire start to finish recently. I know its an old series (2004- 2008) but I really enjoyed it. I don't watch much tv in the summer other than sports.

I think someone brought up recently that their shows aren't that much shorter than they used to be but they play way fewer songs because they drag out the "warhorses". I think its easier to do it this way considering their age.

Enjoyed this very much but one minor complaint. I would like to have subtitles only when english is not being spoken. That does not seem to be an option and that to me is strange. Keith in his PJ's is priceless.

I too would love to sign up and get the magazine. I absolutely love this sight. I check it daily although I don't post all that often. And I 100 percent respect the effort and time you put in to this Bjornuf. There is no better fan club sight out there. Thank you very much. We are blessed as Stones fans, there is no other band like them and I doubt there will ever be another. Almost 60 years

Huge Dylan fan here and I have been A concert regular since the late 90's I'm 49 but grew up in the country so didn't get to a lot of concerts when I was young. Anyway I am very worried too about him performing at this festival. I would hope he would change it up from his shows the last few years but I doubt he will. Could get ugly.

He recently spent a weekend at Ronnie Hawkins house in Peterborough along with Gordon Lightfoot and other artists. Apparently they recorded a song that will be released at some point,

I love Dylan and have seen a dozen or so of his shows over the last decade. I love the re- interpretation of his songs. And his studio output late in his career is much more impressive than many of his peers. To critisize his voice is hardly new as people have been doing so since the sixties. He may not have one of the greatest voices but I would argue he is a great singer. Having said all this I

My last stones concert was 06 in Ottawa. Have seen them a dozen times or so. I would probably go one more time but I no longer have that "can't miss it" feeling I used to. The last time they came to Toronto I didn't feel guilty not going. I'm almost 50 now and I don't go to many concerts anymore. I long ago lost interest in going to stadiums and even arenas for that

One other thing. Of all the "recent" tunes folks keep bringing up that they like no one ever mentions "Oh No Not You Again". Guess I'm an idiot but I love that song.

My 2 cents. I think it's cool when they play something fairlly new regardless if its in their top twenty or not. I have attended many a Dylan concert and heard entire sets with maybe two or three top twenty songs and never left dissapointed.

Funny how everyone complains about the same songs blah blah but then they pull one out from their newer period that is rarely played and the complaints start. These guys just blow me away. In their seventies and still willing to take some risks. This will be all over one day soon. Take it all in and enjoy the ride.

This thread is weird. 9 pages and I have no idea if they are rehearsing or if they are what they are rehearsing. Big change from the days of people hanging around outside taking pictures and with ears to the wall reporting on songs being played.
