Very much live version by Bob Dylan differ very much from the original and there are songs where there exist differnet leive versions that are different, e.g. listen to Dylan Live At Budokan and compare the live Version to the studio versions. The same can be said about lots of live versions by Lou Reed, especially Velvet Underground songs. This was somthing normal in the late sixties and seven

The Beatles / White Album is very good, but never No 1. Too many fillers and the last two tracks are unlistenable (for me).

QuoteGasLightStreet I thought it was strange that Keith did not do one of his BRIDGES songs on that tour for so long. I don't know what show number it was but it wasn't until mid-November that he started doing You Don't Have To Mean It. And they played Anybody Seen My Baby? for every show in 1997 and barely played it in 1998. He played Infamy right from the very first show on

It is not an outstanding performance. More an average one. But it is nice to have an intimate club gig from 1971 in that outstanding technical quality.Especially compared to the average technical qualitiy of "Ladies and Gentleman...."

...and I think that most of the people complaining about Daryl´s playing (and Chuck´s playing) never ever played in a rock´n´roll band and never will do.

Bill was a good player. Daryl is a good player, too. But he plays different. Both fit with the rest of the band. So give both respect.

Never seen this guitar before. It´s not a Fender Telecaster. Although the shape of the body seems inspired by a telecaster. It has two P90 pickups.Ronnie played this one an Street Fighting Man in Amsterdam. There is a Picture in the Review section by Roderick Keur. And here is a video: Can anybody tell me the brand?

Quotestone4ever Well they might jet back to London while in Europe but i was talking about world tours in general. Also the city outings mentioned by Mick and Charlie are just a few isolated trips. I can't remember the last time i saw Keith out and about visiting. Think Keith finds it harder than the others to get out. Its not only the tour, just look at the isolation of rehearsals,

QuoteSwayed1967 I wish it were as easy as knocking glasses and saying 'Rock N Roll, man!' to forgive the Stones for trashing their legacy. Their earlier work is just too powerful for me to praise Steel Wheels with a straight face. It's mediocre at best. Sad Sad Sad – Should’ve called this one Open G Open G Open G or maybe Autopilot Autopilot Autopilot or maybe just Really Sad or

QuoteSwayed1967 QuoteHairball The tour was good, the album was not. That about sums it up. Through his lunatic defense of Dirty Work, HMS’ greatest contribution to this forum was allowing us to forget just how truly bad Steel Wheels is. But now that he’s finally been institutionalized it’s time to face the fact that Steel Wheels is actually worse than DW – honestly, there’s not a single good

The Atlantic City PPV-SHOW is the Stones at the top of their game. That´s so true. Now only topped by Paradiso/Olympia/Brixton 1995.

I became a fan in 1973, when I was 11. My all time faves are Exile, Sticky, Bleed, Beggars and Some Girls. But i also like Afteremath & Out of our Heads (the european versions!), and I also like Steel Wheels, Voodoo Lounge and Bridges (very underrated in my opinion). What does this say about me? ;-) For me it all depends on the Songs and nothing else.

Quoteglimmertwin1 The Stones did it again ... I bought mp3s of songs I already have ... - Paris has the best sound / mastering I think. - Amsterdam is nice. - Brixton has a weak recording / mastering compared to the others. opinions ? Nevertheless, IMHO Olympia has the best "balanced" Sound, Paradiso is more "raunchy", especially Keith´electric guitar. Brixton has

That seems like a pretty fair comparison. I could see him acting like that. Again, maybe its just me, but I wouldn't really blame him. They takes credit but they also kind of deserve it. Yes, Robbie didn
