The exit line is really moving faster for the musicians of this age group. Crosby was a giant given his contributions. His vocal prowess alone was spectacular, but really, he was the total package. Good post. It has been long debated about which recording is the finest quality. The first time I head this was back in the 70's via Saturated Recordworks out of Australia and titled The Rolling Stones A Tour De Force 2S701. I did a back to back listen tonight and this release beats the Royal Sound cut by a wide margin. All I know is the sound is damn good. Are the track lists the same, no.

I think it is important to remember that while Stevie Wonders band was indeed a great opening act, in no way could they touch what the Stones brought on that tour. I was 19 at that time and saw 2 shows. Chicago and Denver. The Rolling Stones were a seriously powerful band on the 1972 tour.
