QuoteNashvilleBlues Quotefilstan Does anyone have a clue about what ticket prices will be yet? After fees, pit for Houston and Chicago were around $625 each. Closest seats were same price as pit. Rear GA $192. Other seats $300. Cheapest were $92-$123 after fees. All I listed were standard tickets (no VIP, extra packages, etc.), after fees. Thanks so much for the input!

Heartfelt rendition of this folk blues classic. It’s as pure as it can get from these old rockin blues musicians. Muddy would be proud I’m sure. Could this number have been in the Blue and Lonesome track list, yes. I think this song was honestly recorded. Mick and Keith as well as producer Watts did this song serious justice. A moving closer to what is a pretty damn good album, and I’ve only list

My black vinyl copy arrived yesterday. Flat on TT and the vinyl plays dead quiet. Really good sound quality imo too. I have a green vinyl copy that has not arrived yet here in the Chicago area.

I saw the Barbs play the International Amphitheater in Chicago. I expected a sloppy Faces/Stones groove and thats what we got. Ronnie solo material, some Stones tunes and a few wonderful surprises via Keith at the piano. What a great band! Sure, were those guys coked up and drinking, yes indeed. Was it fun for Stones and Faces fans, yes again! No mini riot at the Chicago gig. It was an all star b

All in all, I thought the introduction of Angry to the public was well done. I thought Fallon did a pretty good job. He is a huge fan, and he knows his job. The interviews were a fun give and take. The video took painfully long to get started, but the video was something one would expect from those guys. The song Angry is catchy and certainly sounded like the Rolling Stones and no one else. Yes,

This is sad news indeed. It was a privilege to spend time with Jimmy when he was living in Chicago for awhile many years ago. He was always kind to me and a fun guy to be around. May he rest in peace…

The Japanese UIGY-9081 SHM SACD is as close to an early vinyl Artisan pressing as there is. They are aren’t cheap, but played on a decent sound system it’s a wowser sound experience. I have multiple quality vinyl copies and cd’s. I have no interest in anything else that shows up. My ears are happy with what I have. I still like early pressing US Monarch and Presswell vinyl. Early press UK’s are c

Man, these guys are filing out at an alarming rate. A massive influence within the music community back in the late 60’s early 70’s. Robbie was a terrific guitarist and songwriter. A sad day for fans of The Band, Dylan. RIP Robbie and thanks for the music!

How sad to hear the news that John Gosling of Kinks keyboards fame has passed. He was an integral part of some terrific studio and live music with the band. Baptist will not be forgotten. RIP.

Timely post. Bloomer was an amazing guitar talent that sadly diminished along with his life when heroin became a problem. There is a documentary about the Butter Band that I believe premiers tonight on streaming services. Certainly on YouTube. Here is the article with more information. The film is called Born In Chicago.

Raymond Douglas Davies, really must be considered one of the greatest lyricist and songwriters of his generation and the 20th Century. Awesome accomplishment. I can’t imagine my 70 years of life without The Rolling Stones and The Kinks being a big part of that soundtrack.

Mink DeVille were a terrific band and Willy continued out under his own name. Last time I saw him was with his band opening for BB King in the open air in Alberschwende, Bregenzerwald July 23 2001. Great concert although it freaking poured for B's set. Torrential downpour, but BB Kings band played a longer than normal set. A memorable day for many reasons!!Cool that Willy was the opener.

I was in Munich that week and went to the Olympiahalle gig As well as well the "sauna gig" at the Cirkus Krone. It was quite a week indeed! What wonderful weather, lots of Stones fans everywhere, especially over at Augustiner-Keller which was packed with Stones fans knocking down liters of world class beer, and just 2 blocks from Cirkus Krone to boot. I was especially impressed with th

What a woman. She brought lots of joy and happiness to the music world and was a special performer. She certainly had the power up on a stage to own her audience. She will be badly missed. RIP Tina

Enticing footage. Certainly, there is quite a complex human interest story here for Stones fans. I think with Marlon involved it has to be taken seriously because he was there, and is quite artistic and intelligent. It shapes up to be a must see if it becomes available for commercial distribution. Bring it on!

Fantastic band that made some really great albums. I have many of their records in my collection that still get played. Fairport Chronicles by Fairport Convention on vinyl is an excellent compilation for those who are interested in what the band was about. Good copies are very reasonably priced as well!
