I wonder why is there not a single book specifically about the RS tours (not one tour), pictures about different stage setups, technical details, wardrobes, the song lists and so on. I mean a BIG book with a lot of photographs from 60s to 10s.There is information on the Internet but that's not the same as a high quality book. I would buy immediately if such a book would be published.

Yes, I do. Amazon lists also cd versions of this but I can't find anywhere else information about it? I know there is a very scarce cd box version with a book but there is no t-shirt in that one I think.

I can't find anywhere in Internet comprehensive information about these 1995 box sets, I know there is a vinyl box set with t-shirt and a cd box set with a book but Amazon lists also cd box sets with t-shirt???? These box sets are quite limited and scarce, also in ebay there is only one vinyl box set (used one). Anyone familiar with these box sets?

They seem to focus on the Stones and the Beatles and a few other artists but not many. The artwork is very nice, especially for the Stones.

I have some of those beatiful packages they sell in eBay but it makes me wonder because in some of those, for example on Live in Leeds (two different versions even, one including also DVD) it says "Officially authorised"???? It can't be? They must be bootlegs?

Original Decca Mono LP alone in Ebay (or other places) about 500 euros in excellent condition.... Anyone heard both of these records?

Have you seen this in the real world? It's very expensive, even in the "standard" version... but I like it.... (based on the pictures)

I'm so confused with all these different editions (including japanese SHM-CD and SHM-SACD), what are the best sounding editions (most close to vinyl) in your opinion whether cd or sacd for the albums BB, LIB, SF and Exile? As for SACD I mean single layer SACD, not the hybrid discs. The hybrid layer of SACD doesn't seem to work reliably in Sony players, I've tried several Sony pl

I think I try that Sony SCD-XA5400ES with those hybrid discs, it contains much newer technology from Sony and is one of the most respected players in the market from what I've heard (CD or SACD). Some say that even normal poorly mastered cds from '90s sound pretty well from this player... Sounds unbelievable though....

Now I found one hybrid-sacd - disc / player combination that really works! Sony dvp-ns9100es (is actually a dvd player) recognizes the sacd-layer of Aftermath hybrid-sacd disc and plays it okay. It also recognizes the normal cd-layer so you can choose between them if you like. By default it plays the sacd-layer. I've tried other hybrid-sacd discs in this player but they work only as a nor

QuoteGasLightStreet Ah ha ha ha ha ha... Super Audio Compact Disc discs! Same audio quality level as DSD native level which even many audiphiles use these days as a digital standard with very high end systems, they often have hard drive media servers with high end digital players.... With good digital player (or SACD-player) the difference is considerable to a standard cd-player and I guess the

And the earlier albums (until 1966 or so) are not even available as japanese SHM-SACD versions (sacd-layer only versions) so it seems impossible to play these earlier albums as SACD-level if the hybrid discs are not playable as sacd-discs in any on my players.... I guess the vinyl is the only option for the earlier albums... But it needs very good vinyl setup and I don't have that.

I have tried many different Stones hybrid sacd-discs (Beggars Banguet, December's Children for example) now with THREE different Sony SACD players: SCD-XA9000ES SCD-555ES DVP-NS9100ES Every disc plays well as a normal cd-disc but none of those players do find the sacd-layer on those discs, when I push SACD/CD -button EVERY THREE PLAYER says NOT HYBRID!!!!! And all those discs are

YCAGWYW - LA Friday 75 FLAC with laptop And I miss these long versions of this song with long instrumental parts... Also instrumental parts in other Stones songs in live performances are great, in 81-81 tour..... Heartbraker - La Friday 75, What a version.... YCAGWYW and Midnight Rambler both over 100 Megabytes in Flac-files.... In DSD (SACD) level they would be may 200 Megabytes....

I found a picture of the cd-version of Roundhay Park 1982 where is a sticker on the cover that says "newly remixed audio and remastered video"... so now I understand the difference between "archive-version" and cd-version. I have that cd myself (without that sticker) and I listened to it again and Jagger shouts that "oh yeah" also on cd (so I was wrong about that) bu

In earlier mix (Archive Store) in mp3- or flac-version Jagger is shouting very aggressively Oh Yeah, Oh Yeah, Oh Yeah in the beginning of Under My Thumb... The mix is raw and "full of energy". In cd-version if I remember right this "oh yeah" - part has been removed and the mix is much more softer all together. It's more like Hampton concert, I like Hampton but it'

QuoteHMS How can digital files being "sold out" Probably they want people to buy the more expensive CD/DVD-package? The mix on the FLAC-files is different? Really? I never noticed that... In Live in Leeds 1982 the mix is clearly different compared to CD-version. I'm not sure about the other ones.

There does'nt seem to be any files available anymore, especially the FLAC-files I'm missing.... All "Sold out" which is kind of odd? For example the Live at Roundhay Park 1982 was different mix compared to From the Vault series cd-version and I liked the earlier FLAC-version much more....

Hopefully some stadiums in Scandinavia, not arenas. Tele2 Arena in Stockholm in 2014 was a really "cold" place, didn't like the place at all, the concert was okay though. Helsinki won't be possible at all because there doesn't exist a suitable place, the stadium being under renewal construction and arenas are too small in Helsinki, sad sad sad....

Quotebuffalo7478 Hopefully they only use on Sympathy - though even there I prefer they use none. LIVE should be LIVE. I doubt they use backtrack tracks elsewhere as they are so sloppy they could not keep up with the on-time track...Jaggers change vocals, Keith's missed riffs, Ronnie's smoke breaks with missed notes. Sloppy but we like it. Yes, they are so sloppy they must be

Quotebeachbreak Dirty Work! Just kidding Probably some classical stuff like Beethoven so I could figure out what the fuss is all about. The same here. Some classical music, Beethoven number 9 symphony or something like that with some deep texture. But for the pop/rock that would be the Stones: maybe Black & Blue I have listened to SF and Exile already too much.

Not really disappointment because I actually went to one concert (Stockholm) and I liked it very much. I actually saw them live and they seemed to be in great shape physically, especially Mick. Also Ronnie seemed to be really energetic in Stockholm. But if I just would look at some youtube clips and think about set lists, then a little disappointment maybe... As far as Mick Taylor's ro

Quotedeadegad I guess he looked at photos of Keith's fingers and has read about Keith's arthritis and other health issues. He likes playing and there is a lot of money to be made. For Keith I think money is totally irrelevant issue at this stage, he probably makes more money from all the royalties and record sales in 2014 than from the very expensive concert tours in 2014, in Asia th

QuoteFinnstone Was a fantastic show..Midnight Rambler was the big highlight for me - simply awesome. Jagger is just an ageless phenomenon. Our lucky dip tickets were in a very fancy VIP balcony but at the back of the hall. Although it was far away we were dead centre opposite the stage and the crystal clear big screens made the distance disappear. The camera work and sound were both so good.
