Managed to get a Times subscribing friend to send me this little bit of the article; It’s all very impressive, not least because Wyman is 76, but there is one achievement we haven’t talked about. In November 2012 Wyman joined his old band for their 50th anniversary concerts in London, for the first time since leaving in 1992. How was it to playHonky Tonk Women and It’s Only Rock’n’Roll (But I

Brett Morgen about Bill: The director conducted 80 hours of interviews with the band members, past and present, in New York and London. The most emotionally intense subject turned out to be Bill Wyman, with whom Morgen conducted four six-hour interviews. The ex-bass guitarist has published two books about the Stones but left out a lot. “He goes, ‘I left all this stuff out but I’ve got to ge

Quotetreaclefingers That was enjoyable to watch. Bill a bit wistful. You can tell with Bill over the past few years that he is quietly proud of his contribution to and his time with the Stones.

Nice little interview with Bill: At 76 his shaggy hair is fully grey and his bold eyebrows and angular face softened. Sitting in the gallery's chilly basement he moves closer to the small radiator and often cups his hands around a mug of tea for warmth. He is fresh from performing live with the Stones for the first time in 22 years at the band's 50th-birthday celebrations in December

Quotegotdablouse It's not a rumour it's in the news on the iPhone app ! Wow...Mick T. on "Gimme Shelter" and Bill on "Miss You" please ! Oh and how about "Time Waits for One" as the encore with Mick Taylor ! I know they haven't rehearsed it but that can probably still be done and wouldn't it be fitting...wouldn't be a dry eye in the house.

QuoteLien Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Charlie Watts and Ronnie Wood will hit the stage at 8PM, with a set list packed with hits, classics, and one or two surprises. There is no support act for these concerts, The Stones will perform for over two hours to deliver a stunning show to celebrate five decades treading the boards. Ticketholders are asked to make their way to the venue in time for th

Quotestonesnow Yes, it is an interesting interview, because it reveals that Bill was most definitely set to leave The Stones by that time and get on with the rest of his life, but that there was no point in announcing it when the band was planning on not being active for a couple of years. "We're not 25 anymore," he mentions a couple of times. Also revealing is an observation he

QuoteWuudy Hi guys, You have propably seen this but I just can across it on youtube. It's an old interview from '91 with Bill Wyman. I found it sort of refreshing to listen to him. He doesn't say anything new but he sounds honest and just tells how the band function and stuff. Have a listen. Excellent interview, I've got to say that to me Bill Wyman is the man, the m
