All of Blue and Lonesome - his best album as a singer.

Almost all the decent stuff is on the first five albums. Songs like Seven Seas of Rye, Killer Queen, Bohemian Rhapsody etc. I loved Queen then, but I loathe the bland stuff they made later on like Radio Ga Ga, I Want to Break Free etc, Its such a shame that people think those crap songs define Queen.

This may not be a popular choice but I really like the runs he plays on Winning Ugly during the verses, between the vocal phrases.

The Boomtown Rats at the Rainbow Theatre, London, Xmas 1978 when Rat Trap was number one. Joyous! No support except for the Phil Spector xmas album that was played over the PA in full.

BRIDGES TO BABYLON would be much better with fewer songs, which makes it typical of the band’s later work Remove anybody seen my baby, always suffering and too tight, and you have a pretty solid album. If only the band had taken the same approach a few years earlier, then some of the great songs that made it onto Wandering Spirit and main offender could have graced a full band album.

I can't for the life of me see what's wrong with it... Good groove, decent hook.....one of the few songs on the album where some of the production elements help the song...allowing that it was the 1980's.... I like the words too- especially the 'I prefer to rot, I don't wanna pop' couplet. Concise and witty. Compared to the 'yellow and jello/wits and tits

I was at Maine Road (Urban Jungle) and the last Wembley show.I didn't notice the staging - I was aware of other differences -Wembley is a much bigger stadium, there was a much more intense vibe in London. Just before the band took to the stage the energy level at Wembley was unlike any (UK) show I've attended. Start Me Up at Maine Road sounded like a distant transistor radio - horrib

QuoteGasLightStreet QuoteTaylor1 She Was Hot, Too Tight,Continental Drift,Anybody Seen My Baby. Continental Drift? Remove the instrumental aspect and it's a pallid song, a weak Mick solo song played by the Stones. Anybody Seen My Baby and She Was Hot, just like She's So Cold, they couldn't pull off live. Easily the best song of the four.

If You Can't Rock me on LYL,'brilliantly awfu'l?? Happy? Hot Stuff? Sympathy?? I don't think that's a fair assessment. The only track I dislikeis JJF as I find the sloppy vocals ('Jumpin' Jair Flair') unlistenable.

Alistair Stewart is a long time fan. He answered question on the Stones when he took part in celebrity 'Mastermind' I believe. Great news that the album is nearly done. I hope they've been able to use a lot of the tracks they recorded with Charlie. Next year could see Mick take the stage at the age of 80. We know he'll bring his A game - lets hope Keith does the same.

QuoteTaylor1 Because maybe Mick and Keith do not agree on the music,Mick and Keith do not write together much anymore, They do not want to tarnish their legacy by putting out another crappy album like A Bigger Bang and because albums do not make money but live shows do. Plus , tell me vwhen was the last time Jimmy Page and Robert Plant, the Who, U2, Ste

A very sad day. I'm 60 and I've never known a world without the Queen. I think for many of us it was easy to think that the Queen WAS the monarchy.I wouldn't be too hasty to condemn Charles. My uncle, an ex-Royal marine has met him many times and won't hear a bad word said about him. Charles has made mistakes but i think he's an honourable man, playing the cards he's

Love the programme’s especially the Charlie one. My only complaint is that they used so much generic stones-style backing music when they should have used the bands music throughout.

I see that. I’ve been more than a dozen times. Some were incredible (Leeds 2013) and some merely had their moments (Manchester 2016) The thought that i might get to one of those special nights when Bruce and the band catch fire is still alluring. Sadly, Springsteen is not the man I thought he was. He said on Broadway that he was ‘a fraud’. Right now that looks like hiding in plain sight. I will

As I've often said before, DW was seen as a return to form after the sterile Undercover. Even Keith Richards agreed with a journalist that Undercover was 'dull'. But... it has become an article of faith on this board to hate DW for some reason. To my ears side two of Undercover sounds phoned-in compared to side two of Dirty Work which is a solid run of good songs IMHO.

I did JJF at an all inclusive resort in Lanzarotte back in 2002. A few kids mumbled away through some recent pop song then three guys got up and murdered ‘three Lions on the shirt’ which is a song about the England football team. No one took any notice. The karaoke aspect of the evening was dying on its feet. Then I jumped up and burst into Jumping Jack Flash - doing all the moves - and the plac
