QuoteTIRED QuoteBFR I can’t believe how many people are scandalized by this video on a Rolling Stones fan forum The Stones are known for being overtly sexual in every way from their lyrics, to Mick’s on stage wardrobe and dance moves (to say nothing of his numerous sexual dalliances!!!), to the long line of women who have danced on stage and in their videos…everything about them is sexy! Hell, t

I would say that the world has moved on. Some of the youngsters that follow this actress might find her casual objectification alienating. If I’m honest she’s nice to look at but many younger people will be put off. I must be getting old because I prefer watching those moving billboards to the girl in the car lol!

Quotecimaz Dreadful cover !It looks like some of the worst concert lithos from the last tours. Last great cover for a Stones album is Tattoo you. Over 40 years ago. The Tattoo You cover took a lot of flack when it came out.

It doesn't appeal to me at all - but they have your attention and mine already. That's the point - this is being done to draw in new audiences. After all that time knocking out the hits in stadiums, I'm pleased to see them appealing to new generations... even if I have to design my own cover

Is there a subscriber to The Times who can post their article that carries the headline ‘I’ve heard the new Stones album and it is their best since 1978’? I’m tantalised!

QuoteDoxa Quotebakersfield Too many of the songs, such as "Oh No Not You Again', sound forced, they don't swing at all. Does anyone know how many of the tracks featured Charlie? Like mentioned by Topi, he is in all over of them, but I think what could be the reason for the tracks probably not having that typical groove, that is, sounding a bit forced by Stones standards is

When I bought some girls at the age of 15 assumed it was their last, because for God’s sake, they were 35! Funny, how your perception of ‘old’ changes. In 76 Melody makers letter of the week carried the headline ‘Jagger is 33, so what?’ Hard to believe now.

Since we are invited to submit our own questions via the live chat, perhaps those who question Jimmy Fallon’s suitability would like to tell us what insightful questions they have come up with? For once, I agree with Gas Light Street. JF has 26 million followers. To question his suitability looks a little naive.

To my ears, 'Sweet Neocon', for all its weirdness does achieve some sort of momentum. Too many of the songs, such as "Oh No Not You Again', sound forced, they don't swing at all. Does anyone know how many of the tracks featured Charlie? As for 'We Don't Wanna Go Home' IMHO it is one of the weakest tunes they've ever done. Let's hope HD

I agree with exhpart about 'Brand New Set of Rules'. It sounded to me at the time like Mick addressing the end of married life with Jerry Hall and how their relationship would change in the future. I might be wrong... I would have enjoyed a super-bitchy song about Rupert Murdoch but I don't suppose he'll write that one.

Majesties? Perhaps their most uneven album - with some of the band's best and worst efforts on the same disc. Here's my version: Side A Sing This All Together (Mickboy's edit - lasts about 90 seconds, it's enough) Citadel In Another Land 2000 Man She's Doing Her Thing Side B She's a Rainbow (single edit without the extraneous nose at the start) The

QuoteCaptainCorella Quoteexilestones I remember reading/hearing Preston would kind of take over a song the Stones were working on and kind of turn it into a Billy Preston song, like Melody, I guess. Whoever told you that has got it 100% the wrong way round. Melody started off the other way round. From Bill and picked up and owned by The Glimmer Twins. It was Keith. I've also seen tha

Yes... I never claimed to have 'a complete collection of Rolling Stones music' lol. I think I might be missing 'Ride on Baby' and 'My Girl' but I won't lose sleep over it. It simply struck me when I heard the Atmos and 5.1 mixes (if that's what they are) for the first time, that no-one else, unless I missed it, had got on the board and said 'Hav

Thank you Treacle Fingers, but I'm ok To be honest I'm not sure I follow what Jobt and GLS are saying. Yes, I have all the albums that matter on CD and I've begun to collect the vinyls, replacing those that I regret selling years ago. so I am familiar with how the music usually sounds, if that's what they mean. I've been a fan since 1976. I just wanted to share my joy

It is strange I agree, but I think they’ve tweaked it. I like the sound of the 2023 Shattered - a tad warmer perhaps - less of the overdriven grainy sound of Some Girls. Miss You, Beast of Burden and Respectable have all been done, and I hope that Some Girls will be the next album to get the atmos treatment. Let it bleed and goats head soup sounds fantastic; hearing stuff like between the butto

I was not surprised but the success of Blue and Lonesome. Since they reconvened in '89 the band's best music, IMHO has been blues - 'Break the Spell', 'Fancyman Blues', 'the Storm', 'Back of my Hand' etc. if you look at albums like Beggars, Bleed and Exile, there is a lot of blues. It's where Mick and Keith find common ground, I hope we get a

I don’t think the Stones would put out that quote from Keith about outtakes for no reason. I would link it to the so called ‘Fully Finished Outtakes’. Maybe some of that material is about to be released in some form, and the album held back until a tour in ‘24?
