My earphone is a pretty good one: Etymotic ER4PT. Unfortunately I made the mistake of uploading my hole collection to my iPod Classic in mp4, and in a lower resolution. Bummer! But I got a new iPod now and want to make sure I make the right choice this time. Lossy or not lossy it has to match my earphone. So i would be great if you all could agree on a format, resolution that is doable, and

Quote24FPS Hmmmm. Jumping on Bill regarding underage females. I believe Jagger/Richard wrote Stray Cat Blues about a 13-year-old girl. I mean it's not a capital crime. I like Palace Revolution's comparison of Chuck to Stu. Perfect. After Bill walked away the Stones ran out of luck when it came to memorable musicians. Distinctive sound. You can tell when it's Nicky, or Stu playi

Hey, Stoners, What would you call the following? What's the proper term? "Hey, This is Mick Jagger from The Rolling Stones and you are listening to WRNO, the rock of New Orleans!" This is without music, so I don't think it is a Radio Jingle. Is it a Radio Spot? Thanks! Frankie

Quoterebelhipi My ipod classic broke down last fall. I decided to buy a new one from amazon germany. It cost me about 500€ but its worth it. It wasent in its origigan package but it was brand new. No signs of use at all. My Ipods have always handled flac files. Really? I thought FLAC would not work with iPod Classics. I guess I will do more research on this.

QuoteIrix Quotefrenki09 iPod Classic cannot handle FLAC. And WAW is too big in size, so what format do you use for iPod Classic that sounds CD quality? Try ALAC - it's Apple's equivalent to FLAC. On a Mac you can convert Music via iTunes (Import settings: Apple Lossless) or via the XLD program to ALAC. Otherwise use AAC - the 'Mastered for iTunes' files should b

The FiiO that was recommended in an earlier post here looks really nice and even has Bluetooth connection. It surly beats iPod Classic. A question! iPod Classic cannot handle FLAC. And WAW is too big in size, so what format do you use for iPod Classic that sounds CD quality?

Nice! And thanks for the link. I wonder what was Jeff expecting. Brian seems a bit detached from whatever is happening on stage, which is not so obvious, because he is playing with such great musicians. His mind is elsewhere at times... Jeff should have known that it wouldn't be an intense work with Brian, and he would be treated as a hired hand Guys! You are really lucky that you'

Quotegotdablouse Quotecrholmstrom Nice article. I sat front row about 5-10 feet from Brian when he toured with Jeff Beck. What an amazing show. I'm glad he's still playing (& breathing!). Jeff Beck has nothing nice to say about Brian Wilson...well at least about the fallout of their collaboration. Maybe because he found someone that's even more difficult to deal with than him

Quote24FPS I was pissed when Bill left. Then I heard Voodoo Lounge and thought they'd be okay because Darryl basically sounded like Bill on songs like Love Is Strong and You Got Me Rocking. Then something happened, stubbornness, laziness, was told not to by 'the boys', who knows. Darryl's playing rapidly deteriorated within the group and never picked back up again. I think Bil

Another hard-to-get musician. Congrats! Interesting things about her spiritual life. Thank you for sharing! Were you not allowed to ask things about the past? I would have loved to hear something about her recent reunion with Jagger (and Richards[?]) in Switzerland.

The last two tracks (JJF and SMU) are crazy bad, just poor playing, poor backing band. Separately is a stand out track. Glad he played it. Great out take from the Stones era. The other tracks are average. Thanks for sharing.

Quotestonesmuziekfan I still am keeping an eye on this Japanese downloader Internet over there is maybe as worse as in China When I see he finishes one of the torrents, I will remove that one to make place for another torrent, and promised myself to keep the other torrents alive until he has finished them all. So, thanks to this guy the torrents will be a bit longer available than planned. I

Quotethkbeercan Yes, it was on laser disc as well and that is the highest quality version. Interestingly, it featured an abbreviated version of YCAGWYW from the Rock and Roll Circus which had a different video edit and a different audio mix than found on the official ABKCO version which was released several years later. IMHO it is a much more thorough and comprehensive biography of the band t

Jaap! I think you and Ed have done the greatest and most detailed collection ever! I can (or perhaps I can't) imagine how much work went into it. I didn't get all the parts. Because of the huge size of the torrents not many people were seeding, so it was a drag and it took me as long as 5-6 months to get a complete download. I myself seeded it for as long as I was using torrents.

That's a tough one! It's actually a really great collection. And a lot of research and work went into it, but because of the file size it's pretty much dead now, I mean the torrent links. I have a few complete parts, which I could share perhaps in April, but not before. I am sure some of us here have all parts buried somewhere in a hard disk, but this would be a complicate

Nice! Thanks! Deep Love is a lost classic! Keef should have used it for Take Is Cheap or Main Offender. And they should have revisited You're Too Much. I know people regard DW as a throwaway, but not for me. My first Stones album that I bought. It was fresh and heavy. In my opinion songwriting still produced tunes that would get stuck in your head.
