I don’t think it’s out of evil will. Way more likely it’s Bill’s own choice and for contractual reasons.

Bill Wyman was a bass player who understood what a band was about. He was a team-player who left the needed space and let the music breathe. Keith, Mick Taylor and Ronnie could play some lines, but it’s more a sub-guitar than a real bass. Listen to the early take of Dancing With Mr. D. with Bill, from the GHS deluxe edition and compare it with the offically released take with Taylor and you hav

It was not for this album, but for the “Stone Age” compilation, released the same year. You are right. I knew there was something wrong about the LP cover... Here is something about it

Quotetreaclefingers "Songs from the new Rolling Stones movie, Gimme Shelter"...songs but not 'recordings'. An absolutely Allen Klein move. Except that it wasn’t “An Allen Klein move”. It was Decca in England. ABKCO and Decca were two different contracts.

And once again: They split the show up on 4 vinyls! It's pure money speculation! 23 songs on 4 LP’s!!! Garuanteed they claim it’s for “optimal sound quality” and their usual 180 gram virgin vinyl, etc. etc. Nonsense! There are records that approaches an entire hour on vinyl, which sounds excellent! Plus the cover is just so uninspired!

Interesting Ronnie was also part of the initial sessions, according to Nico. Not something mentioned by Jimmy Rip, though. Some of the Wandering Spirit songs is absolutely among the best Jagger wrote. I guess he didn’t want to waste the tracks on The Stones? Well, actually he could have and made Steel Wheels a lesser compromising album.

QuoteCaptainCorella It's shocking that here, of all places, the myth of Jagger/Richards setting up the Rolling Stones is allowed to carry on. Brian Jones founded the group. For non-native-english speakers the word "foundation" means "the action of establishing an institution or organization"... and that's what Brian did. That is utterly and unequivocally t

Only a moderate Queen fan here. Some songs and albums are really really great. ‘The best’, I don’t know... But Bryan May is a really great guitarist and really original. So, Queen hype or not, he really is among the greats. Even Keith has said that May is a great guitarist.

Question about the album they have been working on for years: Didn’t they gather to record already back in 2014? And 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019? They did scrap the material or have they just started from scratch?

Quotejbwelda Always cracked me up: they are handing out heroin and cocaine like candy at the neighborhood chemist shop and yet they are arresting people for a little weed. People like this don't deserve the fame or money...in the USA any proceeds from a crime are supposed to be forfeited including money made on the sale of books etc. Is it that way where this book is being published?
