Since this thread is back on the main page, I'll just plug my band's gig for tonight. Although there are youtube videos available, I don't think I'm actually in any of them (band has been around in various formats since 2005+/-). The Doug Harris Band will be at Two Doors Down in Maryville, TN from 10p-2a EDT (118 E Broadway Ave, 37804). If you happen to be in the E. TN

In my mind, it all comes down to Ian Stewart, who, as an original Stone, was allowed to make decisions on his own. It was him that demanded and, as "road manager" most likely arranged for an acoustic piano to be on stage. I have a feeling that the band viewed it as "his instrument". Chuck is a hired keyboard player. He gets what he is allowed or allotted. If I had to

Sure... Everyone can keep a diary. The question is really, "Should Roadies PUBLISH their stories"? To that I say yes, if there are stories worth telling. Although not a roadie, one of my favorite "behind the scenes storytellers" was Gil Markle. His Diary of A Studio Owner blogsite is a treasure not just for Stones fans but music fans in general. Sadly, Gil passed away

Quotedrewmaster QuoteDeltics Quotedrewmaster QuoteDeltics The Stones don't own the plane, they charter it from Aeronexus Corporate. Do the Stones ever use it for personal reasons (e.g., vacations) or just when they're touring? Drew I would think that highly unlikely. The Stones livery isn't permanent. So, outside of tours, whenever Mick or Keith jet off to some far-fl

QuoteIrix QuoteTheflyingDutchman Waddy Wachtel could replace Ron the next concert. And Steve Jordan could replace Charlie the next concert. Who would replace Chuck or Bernard? I could see a pro like Pino Palladino being able to replace Daryl on short notice (no offence to Daryl - more props to Pino) but seriously... God forbid something were to happen to anyone in the Stones production

My first time back to IORR.org since leaving for London on May 17th. I just wanted to take a moment to say thank you to everyone onstage AND off for making this show a highlight of my 10 day trip to Europe. Having the opportunity to play and sing with and for y'all is something that I find myself struggling to find the right words to express my gratitude. Thank you will have to suffic

Hate to see so many people having so many issues. More proof that there is little "rhyme or reason": I logged in two separate times 14 minutes apart on February 27 during the pre-sale and bought 1 ticket each time to the 5/22 London show. I received an e-mail with the SECOND ticket I purchased attached on March 9th. I received an e-mail with the FIRST ticket I purchased attached

Although I liked their music and would say I'm a fan, I only actually have a couple of their albums and the Greatest Hits. Somehow, back in the '80's I happened to be aware that Roger Hodgson was releasing a solo album "In The Eye Of The Storm". From the first moment I heard it, it's been one of my favorites and, to this day, I almost always have a copy on CD in th

Wow... In one version or another, his family has provided me with some of my favorite music. Also provided me (and the band I was with at the time) with the inspiration for one of my fondest onstage musical moments. A sad day in my world. RIP Charles. Y'all will recognize the second song in this medley... And maybe be inspired similarly to how we were inspired as well. Pea

Two things from this article I wish I could get clarification on... 1) "...two huge steel towers which will have to be lifted into St. Mary's stadium by crane." If the towers are being transported by truck, what stops them from being assembled inside the stadium? Possibly just this stadium's design? 2) "200 people on crew and seven tour busses" I guess it

QuoteBluzDude I'm sure the local Londoners on this board will have some great suggestions. As a person who has been to the UK several times, I am taking an all day tour of Stonehenge, Bath and the Cotswolds as I have never made it there in my previous trips. First visit (May 18-22) for my wife and I to London. We arrive Friday lunchtime and are (so far) only signed up for an all day

I saw them in 2003 without Christine and without much personal interest (I was the guest of a HUGE Stevie fan) and I became a Lindsey fan that night. Also of Mick Fleetwood. Saw them again in 2014 or 15 with Christine and my feelings re: Lindsey & Mick were confirmed. Not sure if I'd ever make the effort to go see a Lindsey solo show. I am sure that I have no desire to see the Mac
