No worries STP, You never know until you listen so maybe someday we will get something new from the 1969 Tour. Amazingly there are still 50 year old uncirculated audience tapes still coming out of fans closets like the Stones Boston 1969 first show tape so miracles do happen. Maybe even the Stones could shock us and collaborate with ABKCO and give us more 1969 pro recorded concerts and mor

There are two "No label" releases that have all three shows including the incomplete 11/28 first show which appears to be made up of official tracks Here is the first show. I tend to agree it would be tough to think of them as the Rolling Stones without Charlie but if the remaining three decide to still tour after the current tour obligations are fullfilled I would respect their decisions and would still go see them. To me it is like the WHO still touring with only Daltry and Townshend left. I saw them a few years ago and thoroughly enjoyed the concert but it

Quoteillyad1960 That is a great shirt depicting Charlie. Are they still available? I think i would like to have one to commemorate Charlie Watts. It appears to me to capture the nature of Charlie. No the Stones sold them in the 1990's but they sold out quickly I think and I got mine on eBay about 5-6 yrs ago. They sold a shirt for each of the 4 Stones based on Ronnie's artwork.

I knew this day was coming but it does not make it any easier to accept. Going to breakout my unworn Ronnie Wood drawing Charlie Watts t-shirt tonight the Stones sold back in the 1990's I bought years ago in his honor. Ronnie really captured Charlie I think.

I have had a Record Doctor V for 5 years now and cleaned hundreds of records and it does an excellent job. If you don't mind spinning the record manually it is the best deal in vacuum record cleaning machines IMHO.

Quotecrawdaddy Hopefully we will get some videos coming back from Mars fairly soon and when the drone/helicopter thingy gets up there will more to come. The copter is attached to the belly of the rover and will not be dropped for test flights for 1-2 months as NASA will be running systems checks on both the rover and copter before the actual mission starts. Once the copter is dropped to the

Great suggestions by everyone and I agree with them all as being great documents for Bowie as he was constantly evolving as was his music. I am a big Ziggy era fan and while the Ziggy soundtrack is a good to have for an official recording it is not complete as Jeff Beck guested on several songs and would not allow Bowie to include them on the soundtrack. Also I have read that there were overdu

Quotejbwelda I guess if the criteria is whether you can play "air guitar" to it, then I am hopelessly outclassed. Bores me to tears to tell you the truth. jb No worries jb everyone has different tastes and there is no right or wrong answer here. You find JW's playing boring while others, including myself, find it amazing. I respect your opinion but we will have to agree to

Quotejbwelda Reading what I have here reinforces my somewhat negative feelings about Johnny Winter's recorded output. Frankly I do not particularly love extended soloing, particularly harsh guitar solos. I much prefer ensemble playing to ego stroking guitar workouts. That's what I liked about the album Second Winter so much, it sounds like a BAND on most tracks, not a bunch of musicians

QuoteCousinC Been at the 70's Essen show. But when he came on late at night I was tired and stoned. Music did a lot for me but also made me an addict for a loong time. So I have love and sympathy for all my brothers in arms there. Johnnys Stones stuff is among the best. Unfortunately, his songwriting wasn't as great. I have been a Johnny WInter Fan since I heard the Live Johnn

Quote24FPS It's odd. The other cuts I've heard from that time don't matchup up with the aural tone of Ya Yas. You can see why they weren't included. Could be Mick's non-overdubbed vocals. They were a little raw on the ABKCO dump but for me that is part of the charm. Also the ABKCO tracks are Mono MP3 so not as warm as the multitrack YaYa's mix. Wish they wou

The No Name release second day 1st show has 12 SB tracks including the intro but does not tell you where they come from. You can find the date info at dbboots but that site is not working right now. I am guessing some come from the Acetate? Check dbboots website for the DAC Broadway bootleg for dates. For the Gimme Shelter movie, you can get the track dates from the boot of the movie

QuoteRollingFreak Would kill to see an original Genesis reunion. I get it that this one had more success, and probably more staying power than the other stuff from the 70s, but to me the ONLY Genesis is those 5 guys in the Peter Gabriel lineup. Its like how DLR Van Halen is the only Van Halen to me. It was disappointing in 2007 when it was just those 3, as they tried to do all 5 and just couldn&#

I have been a Crowes fan since the beginning and wanted to go see them on this tour but the ticket prices for decent seats seem crazy to me considering they were playing theaters when they last broke up. I just checked the tickets for the shed Xfinity Center here in the Boston area and it looks like 70-80% of the tickets are unsold. Lower section center seats go for $200-400 a pop while even s

They supposedly filmed the previous show (1-16-2003) in case of a screw up. The HBO show's 2 Keith songs are different from the 16th - Slipping Away, BTMMR vs Thru And Thru, Happy. Never mind 1 or 2 songs a night how about make him a fulltime member of the band? With Keef's playing becoming more erratic with each tour it would be nice to have Mick back to carry him when he struggles. Why not? as Keef seemed to enjoy having him back when he toured with them and Woody gets along with everyone. Who knows maybe Mick's presense would inject some new energy in the
