According to "It's Only R n R..The Ultimate Guide To The Rolling Stones" (Karnbach-Beanson) it was taped May 12,1968 and b'casted in the UK May 18,1968 on "Time For Blackburn" and (on the same date in the UK) "Big Beat '68. Why no copy survives in anyone's guess, I suppose and of course I am only relying on the accuracy of the book.

You mean the run that is present at the beginning and during the verses? I thought that was Brian...at least he plays it on the live performances. If I misunderstand your comment, I apologize. ( in reply to georgie48)

According to the David Dalton book they definitely were performed during "warm ups" but the cameras were not on and no other recording devices were present.

This is from my FB pal Kiloh Smith. 1960s Texas R n R for anyone interested. Point of interest.."The 13th Floor Elevators" was the band of Tx R n R legend Roky Erikson. Hey Facebook Friends! Your pal Kiloh here. I am, and have been for the last 24 years, involved in locating and preserving AND making available to the fans Texas Rock Music from the Sixties. I am posting this for who

Well, I paid $100 for a $10 front row balcony seat in 1978 to see them at Will Rogers Auditorium (2800 seat hall) I still think it was a good deal...

I wouldn't be surprised about the 89 guy having some pressure applied. The original box was to include the rehearsal video and for whatever reason the person backed out and instead supplied the partial 89 LA footage. Supposedly the snippets video is how he provided samples to buyers. As far as the 81 sbs, I was told the person was definitely involved with the soundcrew and was also the so

After checking with a source I've always found very reliable, I find I was incorrect (bad memory, I suppose) the source for this is NOT the same as the 81 boards. I was informed that the 89/90 sbs are all video sourced and the entire 89/90 tour was in the collection. But to their best recollection, the asking price was $1000 an hour for audio. I was told they didn't know what the curren

It's been over 10 yrs now so I'm trying to remember. I was told that the character was kinda sketchy and got paranoid about turning the complete rehearsal video over and it may have created some ill will with who put out the set. It seems like they were charging a set price per hour for audio and a set price for video..that's the part my memory is fuzzy on.

I have an original of this issue and am just curious what it would be worth now on the market(haven't been active in years). From a very dependable source, the persons who made a deal for these tapes were to receive (instead of the 89 LA video footage) a video of one of the rehearsal shows in it's entirety. If you remember, there was a video that circulated awhile back of "snippets

when I first received this years ago I realized that Tarantula had used the Turd on the Run/Sister Morphine joint release "Anniversary Edition" repaired and remastered by Cool Cool Hand. If you have both releases it's easy to hear it's a clone as the "drop out" repairs are exactly the same and using the same sources...

Personally I hope they didnt re-work Criss Cross vocals as it's already perfect imo. So here's something that has crossed my mind (and everyone hold your horses, I'm not trying to get a sh*t storm going ), as many of you know "MickBoy" used to do alot of remasters and I was always a big fan (the studio material, I never cared for the live remasters). Many on here(most I d

I was always surprised when I first heard it (in 1973?..well, whenever More Hot Rocks was released) that it had the most "un-like" Chuck Berry arrangement of any Chuck song I had heard them perform. I also remember reading at the time (can't remember which book it was) that they hated performing it and would skip it every chance they got when performing live. Can't swear to an
