QuoteNilsHolgersson QuoteTopi How about a petition to stop smoking and swearing on stage? Well, someone once said, "Guys, whatever you do, don't grow old gracefully. It wouldn't suit you", they are still rebels of course. That would be Pete Townshend, whilst inducting them into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1989.

Quotepftw04 I was watching a live concert of Rod Stewart yesterday. His voice has detoriated a lot compare to Mick. But his musicians are much powerful than STONES That's because like most soloists, he hires in a younger backing band. It's not a fair comparison really.

Quotejigsaw69 Quoteliddas QuoteBig Al Yes, the good old days, was it was simply the 'European Cup' and a competition solely open to those teams who had won the domestic top-flight league the preceding season. Now, it's the ludicrous 'Champions League', where finishing fourth in your respective domestic league is considered a success. Really?? Completely agree!!! C

QuoteRisingStone Quotehockenheim95 My feeling is that there will be no more tours. They ditched 3 planned tours in the last 3 years. My feeling is they'll release the new album as planned in spring and focus on promoting the new album, selling merchandise, vault releases and more. I doubt there will be one off shows. They never did such things beside the Racket show. The only small chance I

I will not believe they will never tour again! Without fate, there is nothing left. Long live the Stones! Touring after 2 full Summers of no live performances is a huge ask at their ages. They owe

QuoteStonedRambler QuoteTopi QuoteBig Al It’s pleasing to read there’s some realists amongst us. As the day continues, the usual - but much loved - suspects will enter the fray, with proclamations about how they can still continue performing into their 90’s. Well nothing about the Stones career was realistic to begin with. Realistic was that their success would last a few years after having

They always buy good foreign players, so Italian talents have no chance of gaining experience A little like the English Premier League. It's becoming harder for the England national team, but it

Within a year of those, there were : Glastonbury + 2 x Hyde Park in 2013 8 UK shows in 2018, 3 of which were in London. I was at them all apart from Glastonbury.

Would much rather they play Queen Elizabeth Stadium instead. Far better experience there in 2018 than at Hyde Park last go around. I wondered where you meant then. That's not its nam

QuoteBig Al QuoteSend It To me How many hits did Oasis have? Like three or four? The fact that they're playing stadiums is mystifying to me. On the U.K. Chart: 23 top-ten singles; 8 of which reached #1 That’s pretty phenomenal. Big in Europe too. I had face value standing tickets in my basket for the 2 late September Wembley shows but threw them back. Regret it a bit now though rumo

Heard about it this morning. He was born and grew up in Swindon, Wiltshire, just a few short miles away from where I live. He used to come back every Christmas to visit his mum, who still lived there. It's obviously big news in the local paper here, which he continued to read avidly despite his years away. RIP.

RIP Ozzy. He made the most of the time that he had, which given his lifestyle, he did very well to reach 76! As a young man, he was something of a petty criminal and actually did time inside for burglary! He probably had his unexpected fame to thank to steer him away from that. So fitting that his final show was in Brum, where it all began and he managed to hang on long enough to do it, raisin

Actually, there were a handful - less than Heaton Park - doing something similar before the Stones’ most recent Hyde Park gigs. The Oasis lot make it seem like a proper gathering. Damn! Oppor

Quotephd27 I read I think in the Times, that this tour will be the biggest ever from a band. And that the Galagher brothers might earn a combined 200 M$. Is this accurate ? I think only Springsteen and Coldplay are over this number in terms of individual income with their highly successful current tour. The figure I keep hearing being quoted is £50m GBP each, approx $68m USD at current excha

Very good performance by all accounts but no discernible interaction between the brothers on stage. They seem to be keeping it strictly professional.
