QuoteBashlets When was the last time besides quick reply things has Jagger sat down for a full blown interview? He hasn’t for years despite all the tours, Blue and Lonesome press. All very superficial in last 10 years. He doesn’t want questions about his newest kid, Melanie, or L’wrenn That's the reason why we know so little about the Stones this days, Mick has an all time low profile, n

QuoteHairball Out of curiosity though, and for the sake of some anxious fans, wondering why there's been no hint of any sort from either band members or insiders? Where's Ronnie to drop some more hints about the never ending puzzle? Mick is at his all time low profile: no interviews, no information, everything about him is so secret unlike the old days and with Mick being the CEO of

While they are loved .. their true die-hards can be really tough on them. Hence .. (and I am paraphrasing below): A new album is something I would 'not' buy (>>?). The worst part of the whole story is that we are on the LONGEST period with NO ORIGINAL song released since 1963. Their last ORIGINAL song released, NEW OR OUTTAKE, is ONE MORE SHOT in November 12, 2012, 7 YEARS AND 2 WEEKS. Their previous long break was 4 YEARS AND 7 MONTHS between ANYWAY YOU LOOK AT IT in January 26, 1998 and DON'T STOP in August 28, 2002. In the streaming era, wi

QuoteHairball So are you saying their feelings were hurt because of the poor sales, and it made them reevaulate their entire professional careers as the "greatest rock and roll band in the world" to the point they no longer want to create new music? If it's true, it didn't stop Keith from releasing Crosseyed Heart, and Mick working with Superheavy, releasing Getta Grip, etc.,

So sad to see such a classic album no charting at all on both UK or US Top 200 albums chart, it's a real shame and such a waste, unpardonable for both ABKCO and The Rolling Stones.

QuoteHairball How about Ronnie's albums... I'd think his first solo album sold fairly well? His first album didn't chart at all, he only had 3 charting solo albums in the US: Now Look (US #118) Gimme Some Neck (US #45) 1234 (US #164) He also charted with his latest solo album in the UK at #164, but outside of the main Top 100 official chart. QuoteRocky Dijon It might be worthwhile for georgelicks to share Mick's sales vs. Keith's sales. They both are more successful together, but fans sometimes act like Mick as a solo artist was a flop and Keith was a success. We might prefer Keith, but that doesn't change the fact that Mick outsells him. You can't just take Keith's word for these things. Talk Is Cheap has

Steel Wheels was a success in the US, it was Top 10 during 4 months, 3 singles were #1 in the Rock Airplay Chart, the first single was a Top 5 hit, and it went Double Platinum after only 18 weeks. Sadly, it was the last time the band was relevant in the US market.

QuoteRocky Dijon There have been difficulties for a couple months now making the tour of Asia and Oceania feasible. Not every market was willing to sign on for only three shows and were demanding five instead which would mean locking out other countries. This is not news. There are other factors including a desire to keep the number of shows to 15 or so. There are security concerns. There is a ne

Another compilation which will be out of print soon and replaced by another one in 4 years.
