It's more easy to jam during 10 minutes with Miss You than play 3 other songs on the same time frame and the same for other warhorses, 8-10 minutes of endless jams. On a 2 hours+ concert they can play 25 songs very easy, 4 minutes each song and that's it, but it's more easy to play a 10 minutes version of Satisfaction than play 3 other songs on the same time.

From Billboard: NEW ENTRIES "The Rolling Stones’ live archival album, Live at the El Mocambo, debuts at No. 61 on Billboard 200 and No. 5 on Top Album Sales with nearly 12,000 units (a negligible sum from streams) nearly all from physical sales. The release chronicles two secret concerts the Stones staged at the El Mocambo club in Toronto in March of 1977. It includes the band’s full set

QuoteIrix Quotegeorgelicks Sadly there is not a wide audience out there wanting shows and old stuff from 50 years ago, time has passed for that kind of stuff because the target public is too old to care and mostly are already dead. But Abkco's 18-disc Vinyl-Box with the Singles 1963-66 reached some days ago #7 in the general Sales-Charts on . How much is that? I won't be surpr

From Music Week: "Toronto’s bijou El Mocambo club has been the venue for many live albums over the years, with Elvis Costello, April Wine, Stevie Ray Vaughan and Sheriff all releasing albums entitled simply Live At The El Mocambo. Forty-five years after the fact, The Rolling Stones join that club and secure their 52nd chart album with their 23-song, 106-minute but previously unreleased 19

QuoteBashlets Looks like the album is going to be number 7 in the U.K. not bad for a 45 year old recording that truly comprises of more rarities than big hits. It's down to #12 on yesterday's update, with no streaming and no price sale it will chart even lower tomorrow.

Quotebitusa2012 QuoteTopi I don't know if a new album would have made much of a difference on ticket sales, you have to remember that most patrons at a given show will still be casual fans who are there to hear the greatest hits/warhorses. I think it’s a cumulative effect. Imagine 4 new albums of original material in the nearly 18 years since the last one, a couple of songs from each as th

The hype for the new tour is almost zero, very few news on the media, there's no buzz, nothing new to promote, a very weird way to celebrate an iconic date.

The only chart debut worldwide for the new song is on the UK Top 200 Download Singles at #112, sales must be close to 300-400 copies.

QuoteGetYerAngie Thanks, Irix! A good interview! I guess we will have the new album for christmas. I can't see the album released this year, maybe a surprise single but the album looks very, very far from being done. Mick and Keith are with no deadline, so the whole thing can last forever.

Challenge him. “Out of the blue, I got an email from a guy I didn’t know, Daniel Pemberton,” Jagger tells Rolling Stone from England. “I’d heard of him, beca

Mick should have enough songs to fill 4 albums of new stuff if he wants to release it, good or bad it doesn't matter, with sales so low he can get a Top 10/20 album everywere, he can duet a song with any hot streaming act anytime too.

QuotePaintMonkeyManBlack Quotedead.flowers Concerning the backing musicians on tour, I read on this forum some time ago, they'd be having free travel and accommodation plus a mere 500 or 1000 Dollars per gig. With a view to the principals, it doesn't really sound generous. No way the backup musicians only earn 7000 dollar for 3/4 months work. Just no way. Someone told me about 1

At this rate, they should release a new compilation, SIXTY, with their Top 57-58 streaming songs and a couple of new songs to play something new on tour, at least they can cash in with it.

It sounds weird because we had the bootlegs and Love You Live for decades, actually it sounds like the LA Friday 1975 release, the same sound and the about the same performance.

It might still be months away before we have it Of course, 99% of the sales from vintage acts are physicals so the announcement is always months in advance, so we're looking at late May at least if they announce it now.

Why not? These releases are for die hard fans and after week 1 no one cares at all, 99% of the sales are from pre sales and week 1 so they could release a show or DVD on weekly basis, the audien
