100% of Mick's vocals are from 2020, Keith's backing vocals are from 1974, which were the original and only vocals in the song back then.

The radio mix sounds way better than the version on Youtube/Spotify, it has additional guitars and vocals, also the lenght is different from the album version, 3:26.

QuoteHairballSo now wondering ...whatever happened to Scarlet? It's been less than a week and it seemingly has disappeared already from all of the press and the general public? What started out with a massive bang of publicity, with headlines screaming NEW STONES FEATURING JIMMY PAGE practically everywhere you look, has all of the sudden ended in somewhat of a whimper. The vocals are from 2020, I don't know how some people don't hear it, Mick didn't sing like that in 1974. Keith vocals are from 1974, most of Mick's new vocals are very well double tracked with Keith, it works great and that's why some people can be confused.

QuoteDoxa QuoteGasLightStreet QuoteDoxa I recall reading that Atlantic/EMI (or whatever was the company at the time) wasn't that happy about the new deal and how that affect on the Stones work on UNDERCOVER. I don't know what they mean by it - not enough promoting/no tour/or they just not putting enough work on the whole thing. At least they put a lot of energy to the videos. Who

QuoteStoneage I seem to remember DW was the last album on a record deal. I guess the key thing was to just get it done. In order to move on to another deal. Or go solo, or whatever their plan was at that time... It was the first album of the new CBS deal, or the second one if we count She's The Boss, both were from the same deal of 4 studio albums/Mick's solo albums. Their last alb

The single also re-entered the UK Singles chart at #61. From Music Week: "No.63 upon first release back in May after a digital-only release Living In A Ghost Town by the Rolling Stones makes a chart return following its belated availability in physical form. It beats its first time peak by a whisker, landing at No.61 with 6,820 sales." On sales only, it re-entered at #2 but with

Why the hurry if both releases (Atlantic City/GHS) are not due in 2 months? I expect an announcement sometime this month, around 30-40 days before the release date, so July 20-31.

The original version available of Fingerprint File on most releases was mastered at a faster speed than the original recording, 6:33 vs 7:01. The version of the song mastered at the correct slower speed was released on the Japanese SHM-SACD. It's on Youtube too:

QuoteStoneage I must admit I hear this song quite often on the radio. A bit unusual since the Rolling Stones is not exactly on heavy rotation on radio stations. Usually you will hear one RS song between 20 Justin Bieber songs. I think it's down to the fact that a) it's a theme song b) the advent of a new RS song. The first one in decades. The song is #5 on Billboard's Adult Alt

QuoteDGA35 Hey Georgelicks, what do you estimate the Stones US sales would be since their last certifications? Last time I looked, Hot Rocks was at 12 million but it must be at least a couple million more than that by now? The Stones post Decca catalog was last updated in May 2000 and the latest Decca update was Hot Rocks in October 2002. Their catalog is way under certified, Exile is still

QuoteDoxa Skippy/GasLightStreet, I think the Spotify pretty much reflect the function of greatest hits albums back in the day - that is, give to 'casual fans' what they want to hear. And like back then HOT ROCKS occasionally makes TOP 200 in Billboard Album Charts by the sheer streaming power of their biggest hits. If there is any winner here that's ABKCO - shit, they don't n

QuoteGasLightStreet I don't know anyone that listens to (or likes) Drake. If they do they never mention his name. Well, someone listen to him, he has 7 SEVEN albums on this week's US Top 200 chart and 15 SONGS on the US Hot 100, that's astonishing and, at this rate, he will break every chart record in the US in less than a year.

A funny little detail of the concepts changing is that they added in Spotify (and I guess in other services too) "Living in A Ghost Town" to HONK album. It's the first cut there now. So the albums are nowadays like things they add stuff i

When their last original song hit the Hot 100, Saint Of Me, it was #94 on the H100 and #13 on the Rock chart, so in 1998 you still had 13-15 Rock songs on a weekly basis on the H100. Now in 2020, here is how it looks the Rock songs on the Hot 100/Bubbling Under Chart: #1 Twenty One Pilots (#1 on Rock, #41 on the Hot 100) #2 Panic At The Disco (#2 on Rock, #80 on the Hot 100) #3 Rollin
