Neither the Beatles nor the Stones – who the promotor and the audience really wanted to have on the bill was no other than Bob Dylan (maybe therefore they put up that festival more or less in his backyard).

QuoteNeddieFlanders Same happened to me when I offered a grey market LP on Ebay by Alice Cooper with a 70's radio show on it (which are also sold openly on e.g. Amazon). There's lawyers who got a deal with the management of musicians to prevent such auctions/sales and the normal charge you face is between 300 and 1000 euros. I guess these high figures in BILD and German Rolling Stone (1

well, mostly like the court will urge both parties to agree on a reasonable settlement, i.e. an amount that reflects the woman's income. Beside that in case of a settlement the fees for the court can be reduced. At already pointed out above: Clapton did sue that woman for 250.000 Euros but for 10.000 Euros Altgough it's surely not a nice move from Clapton's side – the story

Quotevibrolux OK, we've heard Paul McCartney and Roger Daltrey dump on the Stones recently. I love this band (don't we all), and I love going to the shows (ditto). There has been some criticism of the virtuosity of the playing. Sure. But if you want to see virtuoso guitar playing, go see Joe Bonamassa or Tommy Emmanuel. They do good shows and play circles around Richards and Wood. B

QuotePapo I recently bought a cheap VIP ticket for Elton John in Cologne. Was about € 160. More than I intended to pay, but for row8 it's okay for me, albeit the dhow being postponed to 2023. Maybe there is VIP merch included, but don't care about that. If the Stones play in Europe next year I am ready to spend more for a ticket than before (most expensive Stones ticket has been €150)

QuoteTopi QuotePapo I can perfectly understand if someone doesn't know about VIP merchandise. I might buy an expensive ticket if they come to Europe next year but I don't care for any merchandise at all, not anymore. At a show, if I had to pick that merch up somewhere, I wouldn't care. But why would you need to buy a VIP package then? a. some people have too much money b. a l

QuoteThe Joker Electric, psychedelic Lady Jane instead of Midnight Rambler ? Sympathy for the Devil with Brian Jones on congas? Paint it Black instead of Honky Tonk Woman? most likely it would have been a total disaster - BJ missing more times than showing up. When showing up being totally stoned etc.

Quotebv I will move this thread to the main tour thread soon. In general, mandate or no mandate, it is smart to protect yourself and others from covid-19 of course. There have been few mask mandates on this tour so far. For the first show, in St Louis Sept 26, there was a mask mandate, but 95% of the crowd never had a mask. Then for the Los Angeles shows there was a requirement of either va

QuoteIrix Quoteschwonek I think it is time to hit Köln again. Or Berlin Waldbühne .... well, doesn't it make more sense to do a show at some place they haven't been to in 2017/18? Leipzig comes to my mind (Cologne is too close to Düsseldorf), Hannover could be an option (Hannover is easy to reach from most places in Germany plus there's a large fair ground)

well, I think Dylan could have done this the way like the Stones did. Think about his 1974, 1984 and especially his 1978 tour(s) and imagine Dylan had followed that path, giving the masses greatest hits shows, everything they want etc. He might still fill stadiums. But Dylan opted for his integrity as an artist while the Stones adopted a very different business concert.
