QuoteJalfstra Just another unofficial documentary like we've seen a hundred times before. Complete with old interviews, live footage and people who are supposed the be famous, with opinions... Indeed. Judging from the trailer, they have been licensed some interview clips but not the use of the Rolling Stones' music in the documentary. Can't be official.

QuoteStonedRambler Quotematxil QuoteDandelionPowderman I can't listen to Oh No, Not You Again (poorly played and not fun at all), and I find Bite My Head Off both well-played and good fun Well, to each his own of course. Oh No, Not You Again is not polished, not overly organized, probably not very much worked on or thought about. It feels rather spontaneous and quickly done. That appr

Great album! I also love the song sequencing, especially how it builds up afer "Mess It Up" until "Sweet Sounds Of Heaven" fagocitates everything leaving the stage to Mick and keith only in "Rolling Stone Blues". By the way, when is Charlie playing you can hear the difference!

QuoteMadMetaphoricalMax DIAMOND MINDS II (with working link!?!) My Arts Desk review of Hackney Diamonds went up in the middle of the night - here's the link; includes a track by track run-down, too. Brilliant album. It's just like itself, really, but it's also a peak Stones record I reckon! Great and very well written review! Thanks for sharing! I agree 100% with you.

QuoteLorenzAgain Quotebig4 RS article on new album This is absolutely a must-read, together with the NYT piece. Fantastic story and info on how the tracks developed, can’t wait to re-read while listening to the whole thing. I’m already greedy and want them to start working on the next one. It would actually make sense to release a documentary DVD on the making of the record along with the rec

Sounds like is Charlie on drums, doesn't it? However, Mick's distorted sound is always awesome! It would be interesting to know if he uses a specific rig for harmonica.

QuoteTheflyingDutchman QuoteWild Slivovitz Sounds like a diatonic harp to me I thought to hear several -not key related- chromatic notes during the short improvised part, but who am I to argue with you about it. No need to argue...! The non related chromatic notes are definitely there, but I think that they are hit with techniques such as bending and overbending, which allow to play an

Indeed it was in Rome at the Circo Massimo. And I have to admit that it worked great, even if I despise the song.

In the following records he always wanted a Hendrixish sounding guitar player in his band. "Live Evil", "On The Corner", and all the live albums from the mid-seventies are very good examples of this. Great records!! In his autobiography he extensively speaks about this (by the way, that's my favourite autobiography from a musician, since it extensively covers the musical

QuoteVoodooLounge13 Good Day Sunshine. That’s the flip side. A great song I was bummed wasn’t on the album. I just realized there’s a cd single release that also has two other tracks on it, PS Love Me Do (a mish mash of those two) and Let Em In. For me, Tripping has always been my favorite live album and it holds a very special place in my heart. It along with Paul Simon’s Concert in the Par

Great song of course and very touching version for Italian fans , but I wish we' ll hear someting different (as "unusual" song) tomorrow. No big deal, in any case... No song vote yet? Indeed! The first time was ok, the secopnd time already sounded phony.

I have lucky dip, so I don't see that option, but thought it might be available for a real ticket. Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you! Ticket One provides the "FAN SAL

QuoteMore Hot Rocks QuoteWild Slivovitz QuoteMathijs One thing I don't understand though...in my book, playing blues harmonica, or cross harp, is much, much easier than straight harp. I mean, if you give a G harp to my 3 year old daughter and play a blues in C, she's got half the tones right. I only need to teach her how the bend some notes, and then she's got 80% right.
