It's almost impossible to rank these tours any any kind of semi-objective apples to apples way. So much is determined by whether you went, which night you saw, where you sat (or more likely, stood), and whether they guy behind you dumped his beer on your back. Some shows have very special memories that make them seem more special than they may have seemed to others. Some memories from so

Oh, Mariah Carey certainly has to be automatic. The second greatest rock and roll act in history... Seriously, what they hell is she doing on this list? No rock. No roll. On the other hand, Chubby Checker should really be automatic. The Twist had a lot of influence going forward.

Quotefranzk Quotevibrolux Quotefranzk Nice, but there are some mistakes. Don't Stop is listed twice in a row and Rocks off is once listed as 5 and then as 1. Great eyes! Corrected. Thanks! No problem. Found another one: Wild Horses (4 & 1). Thanks again! Can I hire you as a proofreader for my company? Wow. Great eyes.

Every song played in my 31 shows since 1969 - I have too much free time! I've been lucky enough to see the band from 1969 to 2024. That covers seven decades (the 60s to the 20s). In my shows there have been a total of 120 individual songs played and a grand total of 631 songs performed in total. (I can't imagine what BV's stats would look like!) Only one song was played in al

It would be great to hear from those lucky people who attended all or almost all of the shows to get their take on their top shows. As for me, I "only" got to two shows, both in the pit so I think I can make a fair comparison. LA2 (on LDs!) and Santa Clara (paid the price). FWIW, I thought LA2 was a fabulous performance and Santa Clara almost measured up to that, but Santa Clara had

QuoteMidnightGambler Hello Vibrolux, This is just amazing. Could you post more pictures from the 1972 show ? I mean the best ones ? It would be highly appreciated. I saw the Stones in Seattle 2 months ago on 15 may and my first concert was Paris 1982, but unfortunately I DO NOT have pictures like yours of the 2 shows. My pleasure! Here you go. Enjoy! (FWIW, I was 18 when I shot thes

Quotecyclist Nice! May I ask what model Lumix you use? It's an older one. The model is DMC-ZS19. The key is that it has a 20X optical zoom. I'm sure they have plenty of other more recent models with that same capability. I've shot lots of shows with it. It's a small camera the fits easily in my pocket.

This is crazy! I saw the band in 1972 at the Forum in L.A. To get great seats for the show you had to camp at the box office for a few nights. When the ticket window opened I got 2nd row dead center seats. The show was 6/11/1972. I snuck a Honeywell Pentax 35mm camera in and shot the show. Three rolls of Ektachrome film. Fast forward 52 years. The Santa Clara show from 7/17/2024. This tim

Bonamassa is the best warm up act of the bunch. Ordinarily a headliner of medium sized halls. Outstanding blues rock guitar player with a top notch band. Not a bad way to kick off the evening.

OK, so Midnight Rambler WAS rehearsed. I know that nothing has 100% consensus, especially here, but it's always a highlight of the show for me. I really hope they keep it in when they actually get on stage (or at least when they play in Santa Clara - and now you know which show I'll be going to!).

Bjornulf, All I can do is add my thanks. Wow. What a journey it has been for you. And it continues, of course. You've built an amazing community of avid fans. We've all benefited from inside info, especially as it pertains to getting tickets. Where else would I have discovered Periscope (remember that?) and eventually livestreams of shows. And real time setlists updates for those wh

I'll start at the end and say no way. But my daughter keeps hearing rumors of it. She's pretty connected in the Coachella world, but not in Stonesland. She got wind of some of last year's surprises ahead of time. But I keep telling her no way. The Stones are not playing Coachella. Not after the Desert Trip when Jagger lost his voice in the dry desert air. I finally made a b

In the LD thread, I hazarded a guess that it is something to do with local lottery laws, like Buffalo 2015, but I don't actually know. syrel Got it. Back to my original question, do you know how long after 10AM local the LD links showed up for other shows?
