I'm not surprised that shows aren't sold out, and some of the bigger-name openers - Wilson, Childers, Panic, Clark, etc - are probably selected in part to try to sell thousands of additional tickets.

Generally the Stones release additional tickets up to a week before. I haven’t seen that happen this time. Any idea why?

There was a pit drop 11 days ago, and a few more rows of seats have popped up since then.
Prices are also beginning to drop on resale sites (Pit A currently available below face value).


Update: As far as I can see, all platinum pricing has now disappeared. Every non-resale seat on AXS is now face value, including some reasonable ones in the front blocks (but no pit).

Sorry for you Rod (and also your reason for not travelling) - but also the fact that they are not allowing reselling gives an indication of how badly Seattle must be selling.

Depends on how you define "sold out", I guess...anyway, opening night is today and there are still rows of tickets left unsold on AXS. Standard tickets, not resale. Some of those unsold rows are "limited view", though.

there is always the opion to upgrade tickets and bring people from the nosebleed seats to the front rows – or to open the gates and let a few thousend people in to fill the venue…

According to a friend of mine at the (not sold out) second show in Hannover in 1982 they did open the gates and let a bunch people who listening from outside in for free

That would probably have been easier to do in 1982 when the entire pitch was all one GA.

Sell on TickPick. Actually was pleased with dealing with them getting a couple U2 Sphere tickets.

No. The wife diagnosed with Alzheimer’s and we’re waiting on specialist appointments “urgent and any time over next 7 weeks”, so had to pull the pin.

Lost about $2000 on airfares and about $1000 on Stones tickets, but wife is obviously the priority.
