Little strange song selection on this release(and production) but definitely my favourite Stones tour. UMT, Shattered and Start me up are pure gold on this one. I’m actually currently doing videos on Instagram of Keith’s guitar parts of different versions of songs that we all know. And I’m doing 81-82 versions of at least Beast of Burden, Shattered, Under My Thumb etc. There’s already She’s So Co

Just watched Blu-Ray. My favourite band in my favorite city! Sound is bit boomy with drums upfront. I just closed my eyes and imagined Charlie in front of stage and rest of the band behind him - fixed!

It was maybe some Guitar mag interview 10-15 years ago, at the time of Licks or Bigger bang that Keith stated something like"if that click doesn't stop somebodys gonna die.." So maybe they have only rhythm light for Keith. You can tell 81-82 tempos were all over the place and even on Voodoo tour there was some really fast versions. You got me rocking in Helsinki 1995 was pretty fas

Keith hates metronome (Mick's idea)..It's been there for years now and now slow as ever. And most likely hates to play Brown sugar (Mick's song and riff). You can figure out the rest. I mean how many times he had ficked it up.

Here we go. The conclusion I made was it ain't have reverb but feel free to correct me if I'm wrong. Backpanel of Keith's amp looks just like mine. US model and no reverb. And I assumed that 8th knob in the front is presence.

Yes, both reverb and eq were optional. I think they didn't need guitar amps with reverb for stadium tour but that is just guessing.. There exist multiple different versions of these amps. Different speakers, different color etc. I own the most basic version of MKIIb; no eq or reverb. QuoteDancelittleSister

Now there is this pic of a Boogie combo. I am certain this is not a MKII -Mesa Boogie's answer is not telling me anything. Yes, in 1981 MKIIB's where popular and new, but not with the Stones. They used many MKIIB's heads (the coloseum version), but I have yet to see a MKIIB combo before 1983 (when they starting to use new combo's). They had half a dozen MKI's, and they us

Okay.. I'll have to check that video again! QuoteDandelionPowderman QuoteAllAboutYours That's Mick Taylor's pedalboard. QuoteDandelionPowderman On one of the rehearsal clips for this tour (She's So Cold) you could see MXRs and the phaser as well. No it wasn't. There were two or three pedals. No Boss. And it was the only time I've heard Keith play She'

Keith and Ron did change the amps. 81 tour is pure Mesa Boogie Mark IIb. In 82 those amps were either modified or Boogie delivered new amps. And those would be Mesa Boogie Mark IIb+. You can't get that Leeds sound out of stock Mark IIb.

QuoteDandelionPowderman Quoteryanpow If Hampton gets the same kind of mix that Leeds 82 did, that would I would be interested in hearing that. We know how the mix is, as Hampton was released prior to Leeds. The mixes are pretty similar, except for some mic problems on Keith's guitar on the Leeds release. On Hampton there is sound problems during the intro of UMT. Both sound like moderni

I wasn't there but I still like how they perform and sound on this clip. I listened it with headphones also. Keith's guitar is LOUD. They were creative and hungry and played new songs and new arrangements of songs. They didn't try to play Under My Thumb like it was played in Altamont. If everybody says they sucked I think they sucked but I still like this tour.

I got mine yesterday. Wonder am I first one in Finland to have this book(?). Ebay rules Some mistakes but great book anyway. Well worth the money. ..worst mistake I found was picture of Mesa Boogie Mark III coliseum and caption tells that it's the Stones choice amp in 1981.

As a guitar geek, I found that picture of Mesa Boogie Mark IIC rather interesting. Never knew they used IIC. Perhaps it's Ronnie's. And strange settings also - bass dialed at 8..! Is that the solo guitar sound of Winning Ugly..?

Back to my first question. Is someone kind enough to share it or trade it personally? Pitch corrected or not. I have (almost) every 81 show in FLAC for example.

Yep. It runs too slow and there's break between every title. Anyway, it's excellent quality stereo soundboard of FULL show, for the first time.
