I loved the HD cover art. It certainly was not just a boring headshot!

I don't see this song on their album via Apple Music. The rest of the songs are there.

HBWriter. Like you, Bedspring Symphony unleashed a torrent of new sounds for me, unlike any from their official releases. Those versions of GS, BS, MR and SFM are simply out of this world. Bill Wyman always said that this tour was their best sounding ever. Bedspring Symphony is proof of that!

Keith has always loved reading, even in his bad old days, so the setting is appropriate.

Thanks BV for your dedication and work. I bet your travel plans had to be changed. I suspect that the reason has more to do with logistics than health.

It's now 2024 and Get Yer Ya-Ya's Out is still the greatest live album ever, closely followed by Live at Leeds by The Who. My favourite Stones bootleg is Bedspring Symphony. That version of Gimme Shelter has the perfect lead break by MT. Bill Wyman has called that 1973 tour their best ever. I'd still say he was right!

This to me is one of the best songs by the Stones. It is lyrically brilliant as well as melodic and whimsical. What a send off to MT.

I love these lyrics - some of their strongest ever, and yet ever so flowing.

Online I can't seem to get an accurate chronological list of every legal Stones album out there in the North American market. Even with AI there seems to be at least one missing album. Does anyone here have that complete list? I am trying to organize my collection properly. Thanks. Richard

Truly sad news for us all. I will miss his great Stones' knowledge!

What if Mick, Keith, Paul and Ringo decided to record an album together? Mick and Paul could share vocals, Paul and Keith could play bass and guitar, Mick and Paul could share vocals, and so on. The songs could be new or old favourites. Wouldn't it be interesting even though a long shot?

I just finished the book. It's an entertaining and very thorough read. He's done his research! Most of it comes from published sources but he puts it all together through the eyes of one city. But the Stones do need another Madison Square Gardens gig to cement their NYC reputation.

Totally agree - been here since around 1996 and love the fact that there are no ads or pop-ups. And yes, this is a true internet forum in its purest sense. Thank you BV.

Been hooked on them since April 1968 and although there have been ups and downs along the way, they've always been my favourite group. I don't listen to them all that often now but I pay attention to what they are doing and I have all of their albums right up to now - and there's a space waiting for that new next album.

Here's another recent title - "Just a Shot Away: Peace, Love, and Tragedy with the Rolling Stones at Altamont" by Saul Austerlitz I've read both and would read another title if there was one.

In 2006 they played Halifax Canada during a bad rain storm with howling winds. They cut one song off at the end. It was a great show and they mentioned it the next day. I was up over the stage above them and yes, it was a horrible night weather wise - but the place was rocking.

I've been on this site since circa 1995-96. People come and go but the topics remain relevant - mostly. Great work, Bjornulf. The Stones should be putting you on their tours at their cost.

I've got a Flashpoint version that has a Collectibles disc included. That one features Cook Cook Blues, Harlem Shuffle 6, Mixed Emotions 4, etc. The album is beautifully presented and doesn't look like a knock-off. I found it in a California second hand record shop but have never seen it anywhere else.
