When I saw the Stones in Toronto in 1975, I thought my $12 ticket was outrageously expensive. :-)

I'm assuming that when tickets go on sale Monday here in Toronto, they can be purchased online. Or do I need to get in line somewhere? Thanks.

I called American Express yesterday to see about their Front of the Line ticket opportunity with the Stones here in Toronto. They said they wouldn't be doing that because Home Depot was getting those rights in Canada. So, do I get a Home Depot card????

I'm in the Toronto region and will keep watch for ticket opportunities. There must be other IORRians from here as well.

The Stones need Chuck more than he needs them. He's a cool guy.

I suspect that if every IORR member actually met Chuck, you'd be impressed with him. He's a friendly and down-to-earth guy. He's never actually claimed to be a Rolling Stone though I'm sure reporters have tagged their articles with such headings. The Stones need Chuck and they are lucky he's available to them. You never hear him claiming to have written music with them an

Missing him. He was a real Canadian.

This site can get a bit foolish during the lull times - when the Stones aren't touring. Still, Yet I'm surprised at just how active it is when they aren't in the news. I guess that's where the comments can become a bit fanciful, tiresome, and child-like. We need more hbwriters here. BY the way, Chris, I re-read your e-book this week - some very nice stuff in it. I look forward

Nice thread. I saw Alice backstage at a Stones show in 2006. He was just being a regular guy there. That impressed me. I mentioned I'd seen him back in 1972 - not sure he can remember that far back. :-)

My wife loves them. But the last VCD was badly produced.

It was my belief that Brian played a twangish sitar on this song? I'd read that long ago.

Maybe I should write a tell-all Stones book too. I saw them in 1975, 2003 and 2006. I have all their records. That should be enough for a good sized rant.

Michael Cohl sent me two backstage passes once. He had seen a Stones newspaper article I wrote - a light-hearted one about how I had missed a 2005 Stones show because of a kidney stone attack. I never asked for the passes. Backstage I got to thank him. I found him friendly and approachable. BV is right. Without guys like him, we wouldn't be seeing our favorite groups.

Nice read, Chris. I hadn't realized that the Green Grass shots were taken just off Mullholland. And to think that I went past there in December while checking out Laurel Canyon.

Nice story! I was on Laurel Canyon Blvd a few weeks ago and remembered how significant it was to The Doors early years. Jim lived on and off there for awhile, as did one of the other Door members...can't remember who it was. Love Street mentions the Country Store on it and I think Strange Days was written about all the strange people in the area. Keep up with your story-telling. Nice reading

I might actually get down to LA when I'm in San Jose for the holidays. I am collaborating on a book (not about the Stones) with someone living there. If that happens, I'll be checking out LA related Stones sites.

What a great read! I finally found the download - on my HP TouchPad. Don't know how that happened! You have a nice and fluid style. The book is certainly just as much about 'place and setting' as well - which adds context and depth. Congrats. I'll be browsing through it over the holidays in sunny California. :-)

I did - nothing there. But I know I'll find it. I downloaded the Stones Light the Fuse 2005 show and it took awhile to find that. I'm listening to it now.

Hi Chris. I downloaded it - apparently successfully - but can't find it. I'm sure it's buried in the iMac somewhere. I'll root it out. I did read the first bit from the Amazon page - looks like a well-researched and enjoyable book to read. Can't wait to find it. I'm off to California for the holidays and hope to see a few of the Rolling Stone sites. Take care.

What a great idea. I don't have an e-book yet but I'm wondering if I can still buy it through Amazon, have it downloaded to my iMac and read it from there? Congrats again! Richard
