QuoteMathijs Funny...I actually can't stand the playing of him, and that off all the followers he created. And I can't stand the band Van Halen, which to me was so epic fake American cliche of a rock band, also which has spawned many followers. I am sooooo glad the 1980's are over! Mathijs LOL, I feel the same! Never could get into him/them. Still he is an icon as witnessed b

I was listening to the BBC Sessions, disc 1 today, for the first time in probably 10 years. Some pretty damn good stuff, disc 2 will be tomorrow! Very nice versions of I Can't Quit You Baby (don't like the original album version too much), What Is & Should Never Be, Something Else. Disc 2 has Immigrant Song, Black Dog ... I can't wait!

QuoteMunichhilton I’m not sure how anyone could think Brian’s departure negatively affected the band when that resulted in what everyone calls the golden age or the creative peak! I go w/ Brian nonetheless. C'mon, even if he was wasted and not contributing much anymore, it was a HUGE thing for the Stones to drop an original member, especially considering how much he contributed to their ea

Yeah, "boring" doesn't make any sense. You may not like it (which also doesn't make sense) but it certainly is not boring.

QuoteFancyBluesMan I'm listening to a pack of coyotes howling on the hillside behind my house... Me too, but the lyrics are actually: "Hear that old coyote howling at the moon" Ronnie Wood - Why You Wanna Go and Do a Thing Like That For

Quotesnoopy2 QuoteLeonidP Pete Townshend - Slit Skirts Love this entire album but never seen this video before, thx Cool! Actually I don't really like the Cowboys album all that much. Slit Skirts is my favorite. I really like Sea Refuses No River. Stardom & Uniform are both decent. But the rest of the album doesn't interest me much. Now Rough Mix and Empty Glass ... those are 2

LOL, you speak as if you are a scientist yourself. Anyway, I have no interest in a tour whatsoever. I would love another studio album (or two) in the next few years! ** edit ... just googled "what do scientists say about covid-19" and first result is an article pretty much saying we acted to quickly/harshly without enough facts, for shutting everything down: So there are dif

Quoteexilestones ... everyone is cutting Silver Train! I love Silver Train. I know it's not really soupy. Anyone cutting Silver Train is nuts, it kicks serious arse! Per the topic, I'd leave it as is. The new songs are great to have but you can't mess w/ my Goats Head Soup, sorry!

I love it, every song! Haven't listened to the album in a couple months but it will certainly go back in the rotation. I would guess I played it about 25 times so far!

Quotedaspyknows Quotejbwelda On the bright side, the our planet could benefit from sloughing off a few million/billion people. Maybe an environmental or wildlife protection organization will back Van. jb As long as they are the virus deniers. So people that have a different opinion as to how to stay safe, deserve to die? You're a true moron.

Quotedaspyknows ... For those who agree with Van, tell me how it goes after you catch it. We can compare notes on how much fun it is. No sickness if fun. I've had pneumonia once and it was 100 times worse. I got covid most likely from my brother and wife, we all had slight headaches, cold symptoms, loss of taste/smell for a week or so. As a matter of fact, most times i get the flu it is w

Obviously there will be cases. Again not the point ... be safe, but still live your life. Similar to what I stated before - If we're looking for zero cases, then we have to consider the "flu" too, which can/does also kill. Let's shut everything down permanently then and be done w/ it.

QuoteMisterDDDD QuoteLeonidP Or maybe it's possible he's onto something. There's no vaccination yet, why are they starting to open up bars, restaurants, schools, etc.? Oh, it's possible they should have never shut them down and just practice distancing like several other counties -- with success rate no worse than countries that shut it all down. You're welcome. N

Quotestonesstein Always loved Oasis' and Rod Stewart's cover versions of this classic Stones original and YaYas are King! I never liked Rod Stewart's version at all, but Oasis does a pretty good job with it.

I just considered Bonus song content, i.e. Sticky has the live Marque & Get Lungs Out etc, but then ranking is too difficult. Just the bonus/added songs for consideration makes this an easy task! 1. Some Girls 2. Exile On Main St. 3. Goats Head Soup 4. Sticky Fingers

I never heard him much from way back, I recall Purple Haze on the radio a bit. Then one of my buddies gave me his cassette copy of Axis: Bold As Love ... I think I played it for a month straight! Songs like Little Wing, Castles Made of Sand, etc. are so beautiful, I was mesmerized just listening to the guitar work. I recall then getting a live album, Band of Gypsys 2, and fell in love w/ Hey J
