QuoteMathijs ... Kennedy was shot dead by a lone wolf, Brian drowned after taking too many drugs. Mathijs Agreed, on both counts! ... Regarding Brian, I see similarities all the time w/ Kurt Cobain, an obvious suicide, and he left a note. And he even tried to kill himself a couple months earlier - so far more proof there than in Brian's case. Yet somehow there are so many out to p

Known for being the catcher of knuckleballers, Phil Neikro and Hoyt Wilhelm. Bob Uecker was once asked, "What's the best way to catch a knuckler?" ... Bob answered: "Wait for it to stop rolling to the backstop and go pick it up."

I finally gave it a listen. It's great sounding to me, and the setlist is great as well. The problem, for me, is that the tempo seems too fast on all songs... Melody, Brand New Car, Some Girls etc. Even I Got The Blues!!

It's actually a fantastic album, great sing-alongs/dance alongs, great energy, great guitar solos, cool harmonica ... you have slow songs, fast songs, blues/slim harpo, it has it all! It

Quoterollmops Cherry oh Baby has a minimalist feel to it probably pleasing to Keith. Their root reaggae musical approach on that song has always worked for me. I know some people don't like that interpretation but I believe the Stones took their inspiration and delivered that reaggae away from a more commcercially acceptable version like EC " I shot the Sheriff". And I salut them f

My favorite memory was not even song related - when Keith was doing a live on-air radio interview for one of his solo wino albums (not sure if it was for Talk is Cheap or Main Offender), one of the Cheap Trick guitarists called into the show and heaped a ton of praise on Keith, saying how he was a huge inspiration. It was too long ago but I have to assume it was Rick Nielsen. I still have my cas

Quoteroryfaninva Any Cheap Trick Fans Here? Not sure I'd qualify myself as a 'fan' but I've always enjoyed them! I never did see them live. I Want You To Want Me was always the most played, on my radio stations, and it's a great one, but my favorite is easily Surrender.
