i love ronnie's solo albums. i have them all and think they are, overall, better than any of Mick & Keith's solo albums -- but never in my life would i even consider paying $200, or even $20 (not even $2 for that matter) to 'meet & greet' ... not ronnie, not anyone.

don't forget that the UK LP version of Wanna Hold You had an extra verse than on the US version (not sure about the cds though)

I like it a lot. The 3 only tracks I can't stand are Rain Falls Down, Look What The Cat Dragged In and Dangerous Beauty. Other than those, I love all the rest of the album - a lot!

Quoteadotulipson I've heard them all play better versions of these songs elsewhere. Agreed ... not just the Stones songs either, all the songs are worse than the originals. How can you ruin You Are My Sunshine??? This album doesn't do it for me.

Quote24FPS It's certainly not a top tier album, but I could see listening to it on a summer day, which is basically what it was, a lightweight summer album. out of curiosity, what makes it more listen-able on a summer day rather than a winter day?

i like it - musically it's good enough, but overall, it probably has the corniest lyrics of any other album ("where the boys go, saturday night", "knight in shining armor", etc...)

great idea (for others ... i don't play an instrument). they've had 2 albums of fan covers on the Paul Westerberg site.

As for the earlier albums, only Ya Ya's had a possibility, really, as it wasn't played on the tours for Love You Live, Still Life, and I don't even think it was played at the time of Flashpoint. I think it was Keith that started playing it w/ the Winos, and only then did the Stones put it back in the live act.

Quotetoomuchforme QuoteLeonidP i was at this show! it was amazing - Mick w/ Jimmy Rip kicked serious ass! Lucky ! It is a great show and Mick was in great shape. I remember having recorded the special MTV report (and I still have it) and bought the japanese boot cd (for quite a sum). Fortunately the show exists in excellent mono sdb now. Yes, I have the dvd too. I am actually in it (for a b

Of course, it may have not been necessary. There are many variable ways it could have played out. Still, once you make a decision to take out a gun in a menacing man

Quotesweetcharmedlife QuoteHonestman Just thoughts about what happened with M.HUNTER. No offense, No racism in my words If it has been a white dude, I will have the same words. Just see these screen caps that one could see in the movie , it was before he held the gun, and sorry to say, his behaviour looks already suspicious to me. So , forgot the Angels, and just imagine other se

Quotesweetcharmedlife Quotesweet neo con QuoteSwayStones Does Sonny Barger say at 2:57 :" The guy had a gun and then he shot " ? Would he concede/admit anyhow that MH was killed if he hadn't shot ? silly question. oversimplifying the situation. not defending barger or rest of hells angels but you seem overly sympathetic to a guy that was waving a loaded gun around a

Quotesjs12 It seems to me that Through The Lonely Nights is 100 times better than If You Really Want to be My Friend. So why wasn't it on the album instead? i would go w/ If You Really Want ... as the better track - mick sings w/ much more emotion, i love his screams in it

Quotecrumbling_mice ...surely they could run the film frame by frame and with a smart audio program pick out any slight change in background noise equal to a gunshot. Didn't they do this with JFK? regarding jfk ... not correctly. they thought they did and initially thought they heard like 5 or 6 gunshots (which we know there were only 3) but later determined there was definitely echo and

Wow, I think it's highly over-rated on this board. To me, the Stones have far superior ballads -- - Already Over Me - Out of Tears - and I even prefer Blinded By Love (from the same album as Almost Hear You Sigh) And if I count songs from 70s I could find at least 5 others better than this: - Wild Horses - Angie - Coming Down Again - Memory Motel - Till the Next Goodbye (but

It's such an amazing song ... I can't fathom how someone can like the boring acoustic version over the great Exile version - it's not even in the same ballpark. That's like taking the fight-scene out of the movie Rocky, and then saying that it improves the movie.

it was the song that got me into the Stones - I saw them perform it on SNL and went out and bought Some Girls the next day. I still love it!
