i know a couple of collectors that are so maniacal about their hobby that its my humble opinion if they dont have these tapes-they either dont exist or the taper has NEVER let them out. just as an example I thought Bob Newbury who I've traded with had a large collection but these guys made him look like a novice. and that aint putting down Newbury. I've looked for Dallas 75 for years. b

I found that Williamsburg,Va. was at least scheduled for Aug. 5,1975 according to one source I found. The Rolling Stones Album(thirty years of music and memorabilia) by Geoffrey Giuloano pub. 1993 Viking Studio Books pp.160. However there is no evidence of the show being played, is there? But then, I know from attending there was a dallas 75 show played but no recording that I've found(and b

yes I agree the "Walk On Water" rmst. is a must for stereo (along with mickboys "Only When Its Frozen" disc 2 to fill out unavailable songs). And when you get tired of wide stereo mixes it's fun to listen to Mono mixes and compare. thats why I recently ordered a "Let It Bleed" mono mix cd off ebay. Cant wait to give a listen!!!

thanks-always wondered bout those guitars cause in the early 70s they seemed unique to Ron. Also saw the plexi Dan Armstrong. Wonder if this is the same one he used on Stay w/Me in SOUNDS FOR SAT. 72 (had to go dig it out!) Remember when Keith used one like this on 69 tour and he said later it was a prototype and got stolen. He said all the replacements they sent him were never as good.

got to agree LAF (surprised?) but always did think the stones were doing LRR in a different key with Ron. One examole is LA 89 where they do it w/Clapton. What key are they in?

yeah other than route 66 through 99 and by the way have you heard Berry's version of that? lot more jazzy than the Stones so I guess Keith was really improvising! Other than Down The Road.. occasionally in 81 there were no Berry numbers live until Little Queenie in 97? unless you count the Club 100 gig for Stu which was rumoured to have a lot of their old nos. sssoul, wouldnt you recommend t

ever notice on the earliest known stones recording of this(How Britain Got The Blues) Mick and Keith are trying to do a pretty straight forward Berry version of the song. By the time it shows up on NOW and 64-65 live versions its faster and swingin'. I always wondered about this until I listened to Keiths "The Devils Music-Uncut" mag. disc. Seems the later arrangement owed more to

I've seen in reviews that Sodds "Hyde Park 69" claims to be from new source and their "Live At Leeds" claim to be all stereo. Does anyone know if either is true?

anyone who hasnt heard this yet I very highly recommend it. Gram is at his "slightly buzzed" best and you can clearly hear the effect he and Keith were having and would have on each other. just a great example of the tortured soul of the original cosmic cowboy. Any opinions? recording:gram and burritos san fran avalon 4-4-69 and 4-6-69 opening for Grateful Dead. amoebarecords.com

147 min 37 sec. on disc. 29 songs( 30 if you consider If You Can't Rock Me-Get Off My Cloud as two) Of course two of the songs they were playing back up for Billy Preston. I know there may be some Babylon Shows close to it but alot of that intro music and introductions. Wouldnt the Atlantic city 89 kinda be with an asterick since there were all those guests over and over?

I always thought the r n r circus "No Expectations" was played in a different key than the album, too. Just thought it was me but Jagger seems to be singing in a very uncomfortable pitch for him.

I've always heard that the longest Stones concert (at least verified by bootleg recording) is Knebworth Open Air Festival aug. 21,1976. Anyone else heard this?
