Of all the big bad Stones it takes Charlie to admit what should be obvious, - "That was a bit dull. Those weren't really RocknRoll people"!! about the Clinton part in the movie. Like the piece in Drummers,- nice stuff from Charlie. Thanx!

QuotejamesfdouglasI find this forum particularily like that. But... knowing that this is largely a Keith-centric forum, I've come to expect and accept no less. Personally, I've been wanting to see a Mick solo tour happen, maybe with Ronnie and Mick Taylor. That'd be interesting. Yeah. If there is any new inspiration to anything regarding Stones, - these days it surly comes fr

Oh great. Don'have to search . . I think OOC you have to take with that famous dose of salt. They were just looking for one new song to name. If you'd ask them now they would propably pick something else. Mick's pick is quite alike with the pick from fans.Apart from that he really seems to like Undercover + some other songs which are mainly from him like Miss you and Sway.

Whether people have been to the gigs or not is not really decisive. Some just can't/or won't see the reality. Been to gigs with a poor performance from Keith but people were still raving on the net. By this people make it easy for him not to care anymore. They worship everything he does. However embarrassing it may be.

Like Gazza said: Both Mick and Keith picked their favs in a british music paper some years ago. I've collected hundreds of Stones relating papers amd must have them still. Try to look for it when I have some time.

I'm very much into Eishockey (Hockey) too! Go to the games nearly every week. Normally of course I'm going for the German league first. But at the moment I'm hopin for San Jose. One of their defenders (Chr. Ehrhoff)is from my hometown and I know him quite good.

In Germany we had Westernhagen. "Pfefferminz" and "Sexy" was very stonesy. In the 70's there was that guy in the Netherlands. Peter Koolewejin ? Someone from Holland remember him?

Now that they took nearly all the stuff from the 2nd show. I'd like to know how did they play those same songs on the first show? At least some of them must be interesting too. Anyone heard the boots and can say someting about the quality of the playing at the first gig?! Any versions better than the released songs?

Not anybody likes him but I loved Nick Kent! A lot of those famous 70's Keith anecdotes/ lines came from him.(Or that other guy Charles Shaar-Murray). Kent's "Dark Stuff" book is a good read with a long great Stones and Brian Jones chapter as well!

Orpheum was one of the absolut best small gigs ever. Both setlist wise and musically. Compilations from the great 95 club shows and those Licks club gigs- which I think were all recorded - must still be in the Stones' kitchen! Would be great albums!! @ Kish I'm Günter! Will mail you tomorrow!

Keith and Taylor - a head full of snow . .(look at those eyes!) And yes, in the flesh the 76 tour was really great! Unfortunately not so much the boots from those gigs. Been at many gigs on that tour (but not in Britain) and the pics bring back all those memories . .

To me particularly the 95 Club shows in Amsterdam, Paris and London were really great! On your list you forgot Munich and Stockholm which were quite good as well. btw. Hey Kish, all the best from Günter !

I know that the Hyde Park stuff has been around some time! But the new rem. versions I have seen in shops never had the bonus songs listed on the covers. So I always been unsure about that.

Well, Jagger liked it! And I like it too! She's not timid. Makes a good performance. And didn't the Stones and Richards even play with that Timberlake joke ?!?

I love the part when Mick stays opposite the back up singers in the movie and Lisa goes "Huu"!It grooves . . Musically I heard even better versions on boots but you can't always get . .

Come on! Respectable on NS is one of the best versions! It really grooves! And listen to the beginning of Live with me on NS or the 95 version. And then go to SAL . . That's how the Keith intro has to be! Bendings & all. Shame how he ruins all those famous intros to his classics these days!

I like it too! To me a real Stones rocker. Maybe with better lyrics and a bit more passion in the performance it could have been a real goodie! With tunes like that I just have to tap my feet. That's what it is all about! (Well maybe a better/different drumsound!)

It's a good late live album but no way great to me. Unfortunately the playin has been only mediocre on those gigs. All varnished by a big production. But an uneven mix. Keith playin is particularly weak throughout the album and Bobby K. had a bad day as well. Some very nice songs but as a whole not that thrilling to me. With the exception of 4-5 songs ( C & R, Silver, maybe

Coming to your rescue . .lol To me it's as good or maybe even better than SAL! Apart from those well known mistakes the playin is fine and it has a nice flow. SAL has some very good songs but the complete product is quite uneven! Both in songs and in the odd mix! To me after all the hype SAL will wear out pretty soon. Now back to YaYa's . .

Is the Hyde Park bonus only on Jap. DVD or has it been anywhere on those Euro/ US remastered Versions? And how is this Milan 69 stuff?

Been a Stonesfan forever. But I'm really getting mad about Keith. Live most of the time I just can't listen to him anymore. Only on Berry'esque riffs like M. Rambler he still delivers. His solos are nothing but embarassing! Man, you just don't move me anymore . . I mean he's still playin to huge audiences and takes a lot of money for it. So he should care a bit.

Problem is Keith weakens fast these days and needs quite some time to recover again. The price for a life . . I can't really imagine a world without the Stones. On the other hand it's not fair to take that much money for a gig when you hardly can't play the guitar anymore.

I think the Vancouver review is not that wrong! There are obvious mistakes in it but the writer has his points too. He's particularly right about the first 2 songs sounding rushed and superficial. (Plus terrible singing I might add). Btw their 95 version of Shina a light was so much better than this new one! But for the most part I still like the album.

IMAX ! Any Rock concert is just great on Imax with that picture and sound! Unfortunately in Europe most Imax theaters have closed down. If I had the chance I would go for that experience again! At the Max was a thrill on Imax!
