There's been another version on Carl Carlton & the Songdogs "Revolution Avenue" album. Breathe on me is on that album as well. If I remember right, Ronnie, Mac and B. Keyes played along.

Yeah, I liked them! And Thunders solo album! To some degree they were Stones clones. Bought that DVD of them.

I'm very much with Doxa on this one. The Stones since many years now: safe, sure - and predictable, lazy and complacent! You could do so much more with that material. At least now and than.

I'm not a Springsteen fan but all in all he just did too many really good songs to be called something like "most-overrated artist". Same goes for The Who. Whether you like these people or not. Really overrated big time are bands like Aerosmith and Kiss who produced lots of mediocre s%&t and only very little good stuff.

A lot of good teams. Perhaps with a surprising end again. Of course I hope for Germany, perhaps not the best players but a good team!

God, if I would have read such crap way back when I became a Stonesfan . .

As a list of songs with focus on guitarplayin it's not that wrong! (See Justins post for Satisfaction). Of course like always with these lists you could name 100 other songs as well . .

"Career spanning look" and "concert footage of ABB tour" seems to be just the SAL movie. I'd hoped for more bonus stuff than those 4 clips . .

Well, Woodstock must have been seen by far more people! I still remember it was a hype to us youngsters in those days. For a music film it was very big.

What a poor representation of Jagger and such poor vocals! He makes fun of Jagger who's fitter than fatty Jon! The playin is okay but a bit too slick. But of course, if there ever was a slick band it's them . . You can see it in his mimics that this is not really a tribute to the Stones. No appreciation in their performance . .

1975, 13th, is soo great!! Still remember when I'd gotten the VINYL boot "Who went to church" and listened to these tracks for the first time. A sad sad song : still get the shivers. Great Ronnie solo - and that moment when the guitar plays the wrong chord. It sounded soo good on the first Vinyl pressings! The original studio version is still the ultimate to me but live I

Never been a BB's fan. But in those years they made some great music. Sail on Sailor is beautiful. And no one mentioned the great funky "Marcella"(?) from Carl & Ps. Have to look for that album cause I lost mine.

Can't stand this kind of music/bands. (Muse). I bought that album from Buckcherry after I had heard that track "Lit Up" which I really liked. But the album couldn't stand up to the strong opener. As you might guess from the band's name, they are said to be real good live!

I like it and most of the next Carl & the Passion with that great single. Ever since those albums I liked Blondie . .

Always liked this song. My fave from the album. There is a nice long version on a boot ( from a radio broadcast). Don't know where you can find the original!? I find it a pity that the intro is so low in the SAL version! Why not like the original studio version? (like in the video . .)

If you come from the 60's "Brian" Stones and experienced the great Taylor years, Ronnie was never that impotant or irreplaceable. I loved him in the Faces and early on solo but with the Stone there was always something missing to me! On the other side I think it would be too late to sack him now cause he's become very important to the optical impression of the band. And

You had to be there than to know that Bands like Airplane, Dead, CSN&Y and MC5 were all VERY important in the late 60's/ early 70's! And you can't compare them to that Timberlake joke! In those days these bands were among the hippest!! Even more than the Stones! There were many different contacts between them and the Stones. And Keith loved MC5's Kick out the Jame

I think it's a mixture of all this. The Stones like to do stuff like this. A play of words and coke/smack references as those were the drugs from that summer. "I only get my Rocks off when I'm dreaming/sleeping . ." is a well known Heroin reference.

I've been to 2 gigs on that 70's tour but didn't see anything like this "creamwise". But it could have happened as this was the last tour with fans leaning on the stage without any fences. So there were always some fans jumping on stage tryin to reach the Stones. I wonder what is the story behind those topless girls on stage in Paris because that didn't happen

Quoteopen-gQuoteAnd I really got the shivers every time I heard him. That's gone now. maybe you got old? ...and tired? Maybe,- but I try to see it from a objective view.To me he was a much better Rock singer than! I think even Mick sees it that way.(In a interview).

Well, I'll always listen to them and will always love them. But better singin now? Never! Perhaps he hearned some tricks and had some vocal lessons. But in the 60's to the early 70's there was something very special in his voice. And I really got the shivers every time I heard him. That's gone now.

At the time of Mick's Wandering Spirit all Stones had real good solo CD's out! I burned 1 or 2 CD's from tracks off Mick's W. Spirit, Ron's great Slide on this and Keith two studio albums. That was a fantastic mix!Heard it lots of times. Great stuff !!

To me she's just a good seller of herself. Still remember when she was a new star on Live Aid.Don't care about her at all. And btw. - Prince may be more or less gone, but he's a great musican and put out some real good stuff!

Sorry to say but some of you mix things up. Keith plays the first few chords but afterwards on recordings of f. e. JJF and UMT the riff is clearly NOT played by him! Only some of his chords get mixed in. He just can't play these kind of riffs fluid throughout the whole song anymore . .

I think on the Rio part on the first songs you can see Blondie sitting at the back of the stage behind something playin a guitar! These days Keith can't play the (simple) riff more than 3-4 times in a row. If there is a straight solid rhythm going through the song as in JJF or Under my thumb it's in all probabiltity done by Blondie now.

Philly 72 is the best for me!Taylor's cookin. Some of the "modern" live versions are not that bad either like from 97 and 2003. Unfortunately they only exist on so-so boots. Wish to hear them in perfect sound!

Yeah that's my impression too. Jagger has talked about Satanic Majesties as a "good laugh" and a "fun one" - while Between The Buttons seems to be the only Rolling Stones album he actually dislikes Typically Mick! At the time he very much wanted to do this kind of album and was very much into it!(Satanic Maj.) And I would love to see Charlies list.(Of course he w
