I am prepping a Nellcote presentation (in Norway) and came across a few dusty things that could be of interest to some? First off, here´s a photo of Nellcote right before Keith arrives. It shows the ‘Nellcote Jungle’ in great detail. 1. The gate 2. The staff house / Garage - where Keith parked (some of) his cars. This is the place drugs were found during the raid in December 1971. 3. The

Quotetiffanyblu For me at least I know they have been working extremely long and hard with it. More effort than just a couple of songs. There, thats the spirit! Agree, it really means a lot. Hopefully they have had a lot of fun doing it as well -

Quotecaschimann Its a typical lovely IORR Methadone-Thread. Method: As long as it s not real we make it real by talking about it. A lot. That's a core value of IORR and I like it. And it's the main reason why IORR was so great and important the last 33 years: Helping each other through the times between tours. Words of Wisdom

It has probably been mentioned, but the "Happy" lyric is kind of reminiscent of "I Get a Kick out of You". And if you read that Cole Porter lyric, you can sort of see where Keith is headed with his, even though "Happy" is a piece of art on its own and open to individual interpretation. "I Get a Kick Out of You" I get no kick from champagne Mere a

True to style, even from the great beyond Anita Pallenberg made it happen. “Of course I’m going to Cannes” she probably said. Because one of the surprises - at least to me - when the Cannes filmfestival opened today, was that the long awaited Anita Pallenberg documentary is scheduled to screen. The 110 minute film, simply called «ANITA», is directed by Svetlana Zill and Alexis Bloom. It is sai

Interview about the process writing the Nellcote book. Watch out for the part about "...we meet in hotels, in pubs and before concerts and it's a lot of fun. Of course, the band and the songs are the most important aspect, but the little community that moves along with each gig is super important to me." From "The Last Sultan: The Life and Times of Ahmet Ertegun" by Robert Greenfield: “That night, Ahmet and Mica went to the Beacon Theatre, an aging three-thousand-seat venue on Broadway at 74th Street, to attend a benefit concert by the Rolling Stones for the William J. Clinton Foundation in honor of the former president’s sixtieth birthday. The show was filmed by Martin Scorsese for

QuoteManofwealthandtaste I believe it is only since the current owners took possession that a large blackout sheet has covered the gates. Prior to that it was possible to look through into the gardens and up the driveway. Yes, you are right, Manofwealthandtaste. The gate was covered with a black curtain in June 2013, when the «Russian» renovation of Nellcote was complete. Not only does the curt

Quotegotdablouse I wasn't expecting the railroad track to be just next to grounds Hey gotdablouse, Yeah I know what you mean, here’s a postcard from the early 1900s, with the Nellcote gate seen to the right of the train. The house is Villa Figuiers, which is the guesthouse of the Nellcote property today. Think of the noise and smoke these charcoal loaded locomotives emitted. At least the

Quotebitusa2012 How do you know to have an Artisan pressing? I have a 72 pressing but don’t seem to see Artisan anywhere on it. It’s a stonking sounding record though! Look for the Artisan stamp in the dead wax (trail out grooves). It looks like a circle, or snaredrum, with two "drumsticks" sticking out. Artisan logo
