Gotablouse, I believe the name of the Magazine was Stones People Magazine. I have kept quite a few because I was a subscriber. I loved it, it full of amazing photos and articles with tidbits that could not be found anywhere else..that was it's charm!

I admit to not being a big Bruce fan and not being familiar with his material...at least not the newer songs but I sure could tell they were way off key on " Ghosts" but I really did enjoy " See You In My Dreams". I liked the energy, and the obvious joy they felt performing LIVE on SNL...but I don't think I could live though a 4 hour Bruce marathon show....does he STILL p

The winter of 1970, my Dad used to drive me to a head shop/record store called New Wave Music in Pittsfield, Massachusetts and I bought " Live-R Than You'll Ever Be," the bootleg version from the 1969 tour, Madison Square Garden....Get Your Ya Yas Out...plain white jacket, title printed in red..I still have it. I had to write the songs on the plain white label..the good ole days...

My friend and accomplished writer Marilou Regan sent me an article/interview that she completed with Keith's good friend and sound master extraordinaire Rob Fraboni. It is far too interesting not to share with all of you! I hope you enjoy it. I learned a lot...but I always do when I read Marilou's stories.

I'm confused as to why some people here want to deny that there are some Stones songs dripping in melancholy.....As Tears Go By is a perfect example of it...Mick is actually saying he's crying...." I sit and watch, as tears go by"... And Winter, Almost Hear You Sigh, Moonlight Mile, Memory Motel are all part of that group of songs that are not depressing but they are somber..

I agree with you, dmay! It really does feel like a member of my family passed...I watch Jeopardy every night...I even watch while away on vacation if I can! I feel very sad!

If this is an anti-trump song, I say GOOD FOR YOU, MICK! Everyone on this planet has been negatively impacted by tchump....for those who feel differently, I say freedom of speech is still alive & well the last time I checked. And yes, Mick looks fabulous and sounds great. I far prefer to see him being creative, keeping his chops sharp and enjoying himself. He will not be silenced.

I never could understand why anyone bothered to listen to him. Very dull, too loud, like an amateur, only worse!

I still miss John, the pain never goes away....it has become less severe but my anger never lessens. John wouldn't want to be canonized, he wasn't a saint but he was a " working class hero" to millions of us...something to be....something he achieved. He left a huge hole in my soul, in the collective soul of all touched by his music, his writings, his presence. I still wonder

This is beyond SAD...Chadwick had such a unique talent for actually becoming the character he played on screen...Jackie Robinson, James Brown...a brilliant actor who will be remembered for the man he was off-screen as well as on, according to those who knew him...like Mick. RIP Chadwick...gone way too soon.

Ah, jbwelda, someone I can relate to! I never could understand the fuss over Gram Parsons...he had a very mediocre voice...at BEST, nothing outstanding I could see...basically he left me cold. I thought that Mick Jagger did the right thing in distancing him from the Stones as much as possible during the recording of EXILE...he was such a horrible druggie and even WORSE influence on Keith...if THA

Thanks, BYEBYEJOHNNY, for sharing Mick's interview from the LA Times. It was very interesting. I always like it when Mick comes across as totally relatable & " normal", because HE IS! So, he HAS been offered lots of parts in other movies but for the most part has found them not interesting enough. It also seems, although he's happy that " Performance" has stood t

My first Stones concert was July 1972 at the old Boston Garden. I've told the story before so let's say it was memorable for A LOT of reasons..the first being the arrest of Mick & Keith the night before my show..Keith punched a photographer is Warwick, Rhode Island and mayor Kevin White bailed them out. I saw them the NEXT night and Mick Taylor was brilliant...Love In Vain...PERFEC

Yup, we got lots of " Monkey Man" in 2002-03. I saw a ton of shows on the Licks Tour, about 8 in all and they played it in Boston( Foxboro) and Philly ( First Union Center) to name a couple of places. It's always a huge crowd-pleaser! I love the intro. That was quite the tour....they even played the Hartford Civic Centre..a place I loved! Got to hear them play " I Got The Blu

Yes, Hairball, Monkey Man WAS played during the 2003 Licks Tour...I'm checking to see how many of the shows that I saw that year included that song in their set list. I always loved that one LIVE!

OHYESMEAGAIN, the Stones played " Monkey Man" on Sept 20, 2006 at Gillette Stadium, Foxboro, Massachusetts. I was there that night in the 4th row and it was SPECTACULAR! Amazing set list included" SWAY "!! Unfortunately Kanye West opened for them..WHY that happened, I'll NEVER KNOW! Still, one of the best shows EVER! I had to review Stones shows I've seen where I tho

I have dozens of copies of CREEM & CIRCUS all preserved and tucked away in my Stones room. It was something I looked forward to reading every month. The editors must have loved the Stones because they were on the cover A LOT!

July 7, 2019....a gorgeous summer evening in Foxboro, Ma...the moon was up over the stadium. I laughed when Mick later introduced the band saying, " and Chuck on bass...oh, I @#$%& UP!"....The B-stage was a gift for me with the band reviving "Play With Fire"...a rare treat. I remember thinking as Mick ran around the stage how LUCKY I was...all of us were, that he'd recov

First of all, the flags are not similar AT ALL! And I have to agree with Daspyknows...ALL Americans are not stupid, just roughly 34%...and they are lost causes! The owners of that B&B should leave the flag up & stop kow-towing to ignorance!

John Lewis transcends mere politics. I heard many news personalities calling Jon " a saint". That remains to be seen but he was an extraordinary man, a man of peace, humility and wisdom. His suffering will long be remembered along with the strides that he made for civil rights in this racist-infested country. He cannot be replaced, and as someone said it is truly sad that the ROTTEN ONE

I remember him, even bought his album but I always felt he deliberately capitalized on looking like Paul....and the production of his music was purposely " Beatleque". Not original enough, IMO. Especially " She's Such A Beauty", could have come right off the White Album.

Aside from Shine A Light, Ladies & Gentlemen, The Rolling Stones & Gimme Shelter...I love the " Alfie" soundtrack...Mick & Dave Stewart's project! " Old Habits Die Hard" is a favorite song of mine. Also love " Almost Famous"....Tiny Dancer....hard to beat that!
