"I've just remembered, Ian McCullough, ever the wind up merchant, mentioned a couple of times about the Stones being the best. As trolling goes, that was decent indeed!" Wish I could of seen this gig - two bands I love. A moment in Vancouver in 1986 - the Bunnymen did a nice rendition of "Paint It Black". I transferred my cassette of the show over lockdown, here

Hey Exile Stones, Thanks for the support. After the suggestions above I found Silkcut's De-Clicked version was the best. I started over. This boot is a rabbithole of discovery. Each song has it's own dynamic range and surface noise issue from the original vinyl. That said it is getting there. The below sample contains Silkcut's original then the work in progress I have been

Thank you schillid - I have been wanting to say what you wrote below since this thread began. Two other points: 1/ Every person I have known who has died wants others to really live and do what they love. Maximize life. They want you to remember them, but not change because of them dying. 2/ No one should stop doing what they love until their last breath. All of us have hobbies or care

Thanks AntoineParis! You nailed it - totally has an arena sound. I'm grateful no matter what - can always play with the EQ at home QuoteAntoineParis . It sounds like 75 tour. Huge Arena sound. Very weird.

nice one atsu69! Google Translation: "When the Rolling Stones took over the stage at the El Mocambo club in Toronto on March 4 and 5, 1977, the 300 people in attendance were dumbfounded. The concert kept secret until the appearance of the group on stage made the headlines and relaunched the current world tour. From Live to El Mocambo we only knew the 4 titles present on Love You Live

"El Mocambo is way more disarming though. They're clowning around, having fun. An expanded should have been released ages ago." Agree 1000%!

It was tough for these guys to hang with the newbies and 12" remix market was nuts! I may be thinking about the Undercover 12" club mix video: Listening again it is for sure better than the YES 12" track

El Mocambo! If real news - amazing - it does deserve it's moment. Always loved that side and the boot. Random thoughts: Love You Live - the version of Happy on there is one of my faves Voodoo lounge - that was an exciting time when they came back and did that - great show at Giants Stadium - the Not Fade Away opener was worth the price of the ticket. video: When Mick popped u

Good on Lucas. This probably is not his primary gig for the future and he is probably meeting some nice girls and hanging out. None of us would have jumped at that chance at his age? He just happened to have the right connection.. which reminds me of a song... Cheers to Lucas - hope he is getting "room service" nightly Soundboard

Hi B.V., Thank you for sharing and sorry this happened to you. I do not have time in my life to worry about why a song was played or not played. I am grateful that The Stones keep going. They inspire me every day to stay focused, stay healthy and get as much done everyday as possible. Likewise I always appreciate your comments about the city you are in and what you found interesting about that

Quoteironbelly Evolution of Start Me Up for different mastering and editions in digital domain. 1983, Toshiba-EMI CD with 'black triangle' label. The very first CD of The Rolling Stones in the world ever. Apart of very obvious pop at the mark 0.03 the rest looks pretty much OK. Dynamic Range (DR) for the track is DR=12. Well, the tape used for A/D transfer was obviously not the 1st

7/20/22 EDIT - FINISHED THE PROJECT - SEE BOTTOM OF THIS THREAD FOR NEW SAMPLES / FLACS / DETAILS Greetings, I'm working on a remaster of this gig and have made progress but hit a little roadblock.
