It still irks me that my Nirvana collection is missing the Pennyroyal Tea single. I'd ordered it from Borders as a German import, I think, and then once he killed himself, it was pulled and I never received it. I know some got out, but I've never been able to find one on the market, and if I do, I know it'll be pricey.

REM unfortunately are much bigger overseas these days than they are on their home turf.

I was into a lot of drugs and alcohol at the time, and it was one of the only ones I'd not touched, and I thought if Kurt can, then why not me? Your response is a bit harsh, but you know for a lot of teens idolizing stars is a fact of life. And no, I wasn't under 14, I was 17 I believe.

y'know after I posted it, I thought of that little bee video, and I said, I bet it's that guy! LOL I do like a lot of the White Stripes songs, at least the vids I've seen on MTV - I loved Icky Thump and that creepy one with all the zombie-like people walking thru the spiraling red and white color changes when the girl's drumkit keeps moving closer and further away - what was

Hound Dog, I think that all stems from Cobain's suicide, which in some way outperforms Staley's overdose. And why that is, I'll never know. I do think he was the superb songwriter out of that group. Some of his lyrics were as out there as our boys write! AIC's lyrics to me always sounded much more drug driven, not to say that none of the others (including the stones) wer

Yes, wtf ever did become of MTV?! They NEVER show a video anymore, ever. I've been relegated to watching VH1Classic. And Headbangers ball??? What a joke that is! I cannot stand all that deep-throated screaming that sounds like it came outta the pits of hell. Perhaps you're right on the music explosion - hell I hope I am wrong on that front. But I guess, only time will tell.

Taylor's debut album is a true classic. I spin it often. Leather Jacket, Alabama, superb!!

That whole Sting album is extremely underrated, and I wouldn't have known about it had it not been for the Jaguar (I think it was?) commercial. Pearl Jam is another band I can't stand, but their Vs. and No Code albums are classics. Daughter and Off He Goes are 2 of my favorites. Also loved their cover of Crazy Mary.

Cindy, lookin better'n ever! I was there for opening night as well! Drove down from upstate NY with my mother in law, who'd never seen them before and always wanted to. Four hours down, and four hours back, but worth every minute!! It was AMAZING!!!

I couldn't agree with you more, Kent. Musically speaking, I think the music died with Nirvana. I turned to Alice in Chains after that, as my favorite Grunge band, and then Layne Staley died, too. So on to Soundgarden, and they disband in their prime (why have they not reunited yet?). I was NEVER a Pearl Jam fan, so that wasn't an option. STP had some great early albums but started

Yes, must concur. U2. Really aside from Rattle & Hum and Achtung Baby, I don't need them at all.

QuoteHappy24 QuoteVoodooLounge13 I still can't listen to them much (Nirvana). I went into a deep almost suicidal depression after he killed himself for a loooooooooong time. I grew up listening to them and idolizing Kurt to the point of also trying heroin. I was devastated and lost for a good part of my high school and college lives. I never went as far as you, not even close, but it wa

Unplugged is an amazing album. Really they didn't put out a bad album, although I think Muddy Banks was a bit dull, but I think that was because I had some fabulous boots of theirs. I was most devastated because I would have loved to have seen what would have come out of Kurt's collaboration sessions with Michael Stipe of REM - I bet that album would have been an instant classic.

You know I really used to like them, but I didn't even bother buying their last album. All of their stuff sounds the same now, and they used to be really original. By The Way and Californication - they might as well be the same album.

Hey has anyone ordered from this website in say the last 2 months or so? I ordered a copy of All the Kings Men CD, and they were right quick to charge my credit card via Paypal, but I've yet to see my CD and it's been almost 2 months now. Two follow up emails have gone unanswered, and I don't see a phone # to call them directly listed on the site. Anyone have any similar experie

I cannot believe that! That's horrible. Although, when it came out there wasn't any real advertisements for it in the flyers, at least not here in upstate NY, so it's not like it had a lot of support coming outta the gate.

Must concur with Dandelion, YGMR is a great song, though overplayed at this point, but it sounds great on VL and live, even if it does need a rest.

so very true! Just like buying all the albums and then CD singles....thing is those were much more cost effective! LOL Being married with 3 kids and a mortgage and 2 car payments, it's hard to justify the price of some of these things these days! LOL Back in the bachelor days, it was a no-brainer! LOL

Has anyone else stateside order from Pete Townshend's website? I order a couple of cds a few weeks ago, and I'm wondering if it's normal for it to take so long for them to arrive? I've ordered stuff from Japan, and stuff from other British sites that have arrived in much faster time than this. Anybody know?
