I just noticed doing a search of albums on which Mick Taylor plays that there are a slew of Compilations that came out in Europe, and I'm wondering how many of them have ever been released on CD. Does anyone happen to know?

That's a very good theory, Lightnin'. One that makes a lot of sense, and I bet it is not far off base.

WOW! I am at a loss for words. That is an AMAZIN collection, Norbert! How did you track them all down? Yet again I am reminded of how slight my dedication to our band is compared to some of the members of IORR!!!

I seriously need to start investin in more Taylor albums, but not simply where he plays on one or two tracks. As a completist, I should get those too I know, but I just can't justify it at this point. I only want the ones where he is a main performer, like the Carla Olson one. Problem is, a lot of them are out of print and the used prices are astronomical!! But if I could pick up those M

Now some of their solo albums far surpass the Eagles stuff - The End of the Innocence for one. Don Felder's Airborne? I think that's the title is an amazing album that completely surprised me.

Mofur - thanks so much for the Chieftains recommendation. I'll definitely have to pick that up. Researching them a bit yesterday, I'd no idea how long they'd been around!!

What are the 5 Mayall albums on which Taylor plays? I only come up with 4 before he left for the Stones: Crusade, Diary of a Band Vols. 1 & 2, Bare Wires, and Blues From Laurel Canyon. What am I missing?

I think it's a great album, personally. So true to the Eagles sound. I love when a band that hasn't put out new music in a while doesn't disappoint: The Eagles, The Who, The Stones....

It's interestin to me some of the stuff that one can find oneself listening to all in the name of The Rolling Stones. For instance, I would have never have picke dup any of the backing singers albums had it not been for the Stones, and they are all impressive. Lisa's probably comes out the weakest in my opinion, but overall, they are all great. Likewise, in my infinite pursuit to

You know I just picked up Carla Olson's Ring Of Truth simply because Taylor was on it - he plays on the majority of the tracks. The highlight for me here was the 12 minute version of Winter that closes the album. I was moved almost to tears at how friggin amazin he sounded. Don't get me wrong I love Ronnie to death and think he fits in perfectly in the band, but when you hear Mick Ta

I thoroughly enjoyed my No Security show in Hartford that did not include Satisfaction - the only show of my 12 that has not had it - and I didn't even miss it. The point being is that several of these tired out warhorses could be replaced by more obscure stuff - it's the same old argument. For me, I can do without all of except Jumpin Jack Flash, Brown Sugar, and Sympathy (assuming I

OK, in looking at mine now, I realize why I don't recall the Call out hook version - that's because I don't have this digipak version. I have the import version with the Remix of Miss You and the New Rock Mix of Don't Stop along with the Single Edit version. Sorry bout that. But now I'm curious about this one to which you're referring!

I'm just so tired of hearing the same ol same ol, and believe me I'm in serious doubt as to whether or not I'd shell out the kinda $ they're lookin for anymore.

Thanks, Toru! I see that this and his Skollie release are going to be near impossible to locate but I'll do my best!

The edited version is a bit shorter than the album version, but only by a few seconds. I've not listened to the call out hook version in a while, but if memory serves that one doesn't sound much different than the others. I have it only as a completist.

Thanks Helter! I'd not known about this release prior and I spent yesterday researching it only to find that it seems to be on its way out of print. I didn't get mine for $25 - cost me $35 on amazon when I could have special ordered it thru ArtistDirect for $29, but I was afraid that they wouldn't be able to get it, so I went with the tried and true!! Given how much this thing i

Well I am a huge fan of Blondie's Between US album, and am dying to hear his first album. I also have Bernard's, Lisa's, and Tim Ries' Stones Project albums - none of which would I have picked up had they not been the back up singers for the band, and you know..........surprisingly I have not been disappointed with a single one of them.

I wish this album would come out on CD already! It's a gaping hole in my Stones collection, along with Blondie's first album!!!

5787. The Vaults
There is always so much talk about what's in the vaults still and what that value brings to a record deal, but given how relevant the band seems to be these days, dare I pose the question of: Other than those of us die-hards who will gobble up everything, who the heck else nowadays is going to care about what is being released from 40+ years?

Just listened to it the other day for the first time in a few months, and I still really dig it. It's a superb album. Loved Let Me Down Slow from the beginning. But now, my favorite is Driving Too Fast. The guitars on that are awesome. It coulda been a rockin hit single. I don't think there is a single filler on the album, but it's still no Voodoo Lounge.

Love his song Jesus Walks. I didn't think he did too bad at Foxboro opening for the boys, but he was no Black Eyed Peas. I did feel sorry for him though because no one was clappin for him and I even heard a few boos. Highly unappropriate I think even if you're not a fan.
