Quoteouroux58 Quotethecitadel I think the band is in London in the recording studio this week. I am 99% sure I saw Don Was in a care being driven close to a studio yesterday; the car had to slow to let me off the road and he smiled and nodded. From social media it is clear Mick, Ronnie, probably Keith and Chuck Level are in London. I also think I saw someone close to Charlie in the same area.

Not enough great hotels for them though, they have to split like the last time. Might be the downside. Then the Rehearsels gig at Rockefeller or John Dee. Daydreamer dot com... QuoteNate QuoteMonsoon Ragoon Well for those who have much money and time off this may be funny, but for those who have to work hard and make plans for the year it's NOT so funny. Getting fooled with "phantom"-tour legs that never happen, last minute cancellations etc. I doubt anyone finds it funny that the shows might get delayed or not happen at all and no one has been fooled w

Quoteslewan Quotestraycatuk If we are talking about an arena tour in the fall I can't see the numbers adding up. The only comparable US date in the last 3 years was Vegas last October. Most of the A blocks (which had been extended to row z to reach the half way line ) were only available as "VIP" or "premier" tickets for around $2500 - $4000 and even the lower tier righ

Quotegrzegorz67 Quotebv The ticket prices in USA have been up to US $1,500 up front, which is pretty steep. Good news are they can't get that money in Europe, may be 500 max, that is USD or Euro, pretty much the same these days. I do still remember the show in Zaragosa Spain a while back. The pit was literally empty, we were may be 50 people in the pit shortly before show start, even if it

Quotebv Many bands tour Europe outside the summer season. I would not be surprised if the Stones delay their plans in Europe and do a fall tour instead. I think indoors is better for the Stones now. No dust, rain, excess heat or cold. Less likely to cause health issues like singing problems, and more likely to keep going for longer. Obviously the issue is ticket prices will be higher on aver

Quoteswimtothemoon With the necessary rehearsals and 8 shows, the tour would require at least a month commitment from four guys in there mid 70's. Echoing what others have said, we should be pleased with any shows at this point. I do hope all four band members are healthy and there is not a health concern though. More like 2 weeks of rehearsals (its the crew not just the band) and then on

Tim and this Hungarian gypsy band played a great set yesterday evening in Paris. He has recorded with them before, and is doing so again. A very interesting fusion of styles and instruments. If you can get to Madrid gig, well worth the effort, or the CD whenever it comes out.

Just because Sasha and Bernard are off stage, it doesn't mean they don't add a bit of vocal support. This has been the case at loads of gigs. When Blondie was on the tour he also played a little guitar, usually acoustic, on some songs from behind the amps. There have always been screw-ups on stage (except maybe for Charlie...). Mick repeats verses, forgets words; look at Ronnie on t

Pretty perceptive from Chuck I'd say - lets face it, he's played alongside Darryl for 23 years. I saw Darryl at Ronnie Scotts this summer and he can play! very different style and set-up to the Stones, but that just shows his versatility. after the first set we had a brief chat and he was comparing the travel arrangements of a small Jazz tour to the Stones - chalk and cheese; very fu

Quotebv QuoteThe Worst. I feel sorry for those who had tickets for the first Las Vegas show. It seems like this private gig is the reason why it didn't get rescheduled. It's a shame how easily they cancel a highly advertised show for 19,000 hard working people who invested time and money, just in order to play a tiny cooperate gig for a few hundred people who probably don't give a

QuoteRocky Dijon So Mick only sings 15 songs and Keith sings 3 and still the conspiracy theory persists that the first show wasn't cancelled for Mick's illness. Interesting. That conspiracy theory is bollocks.

Interesting interview, as always. Chuck is filling the shoes of several people from the history of the Stones - this a big challenge which he carries off very well in my opinion. Recently I've heard a lot more treble from the keyboards in the live mix (those diamonds) and that's when you hear Chuck's real excellence. Keep it up Chuck!!

I think the wording "Cancelled" is used to ensure the Tour Insurance pays up if they can't re-schedule. "Postpone" means just that - it will happen later. Remember all the legal stuff a year or two ago about the Aus/NZ tour when L'Wren died. Judging by the reactions of anyone close to the band, the air was shit in the Desert and everyone was affected. This was a major surprise to the entourage - they arrived in town only a couple of hours before the news broke: and they did not know until the rest of us - well maybe a few minutes before. I was told the desert air/dust was the problem - from someone very close to Mick. So I think this really is a genuine problem - forget the conspiracy shit. It happened to me at Wembley in 1990 (we go

Lisa seemed to me to have the opportunity to build (again) a career for herself, not as a valued support singer for the Stones. Who knows how long the Stones will continue - its an uncertain career as a professional performer without that added risk. My guess is that Lisa decided to grab the opportunity, which was in part created by that movie Twenty Feet from Stardom. I loved Lisa's

I really don't see how we can complain (at least seriously) about the bands recent activity. They have played tours (lets say more than 12 gigs a year) for each of the last 4 years (2013-2016), and a few in 2012.. They haven't done that since 64-67. Tiny tours in 70 and 71; nothing for huge gaps. In 2016 it will be a tour of South America, all outdoor stadia in the heat and humidi

QuoteDeanGoodman QuoteHairball With only Indio and Vegas confirmed (which are apprx. 180 miles apart by plane) for a total of three shows, could this be a world record for the smallest/shortest 'tour' ever by any band? Even with the possibility of a second Vegas show, this might be one for the Guiness Book of World Records! But can this even considered a 'tour'? And if so,
