Quotesjs12 Fantastic news! St Mary's stadium is just down the road from me so will be easy to get to. I am really chuffed. Happy to give anyone some suggestions about local stuff to do... I suggest the Platform Tavern as a good venue for pre-gig drinks (great pub with great beer and food and live blues music most nights). I'll have a word with the landlord (who is a big stones

QuoteDeanGoodman Quotesyrel I didn't want to assume anything about the nationality of posters, but I think many non-Brits don't recognise how concentrated England is and the effect that has on the inhabitants' mentality about travelling. syrel +1. And driving between towns in England takes forever (my experience), with pesky roundabouts, tiny country roads and highways that

I can confirm that this was being considered way back in September when the band was looking for some "smaller" stadiums and to give some wider geographic coverage. So pleased it looks like happening. This just arrived on the local newspaper: I lived in Southampton from the middle of 1964 until 1968 - far too young to see them play there back in '64, but I do remember s

QuoteHealy52003 Guess the stones may be the only happy English people in Murrayfield stadium this year Every 10 years, the deal is that we let the Scots win at rugby so they don't get too disheartened. And once a decade they get a Stones gig - same reason....

See here - but with Caution: , . holy @#$%& €320- Cat 1 €220- Cat 2 €150- Standing Not official prices, but secondary market prices. QuoteRoscoe Quotejlowe Why do these show biz types where sun glasses so much? Especially when the weather doesn't demand it. Is it just to draw attention to themselves? Maybe he has cataracts. Maybe perpetual sunglass wearers need glasses to see properly - but ordinary glasses don't look so cool.

Southampton was definitely being considered a few months ago. The reason was to help spread the gigs around the UK/Ireland to access more potential fans rather than the usual "London plus serious travelling" fans.

Quotecorriecas QuoteMisterDDDD QuoteNate Ok I wasn't at the show in Arnhem but I remember Jagger saying that at the Hyde Park shows in 2013. Nate Jagger was saying that at a lot (all?) of the 2013 shows.. at least all the (6) ones I was at. Also at the 2012 Brooklyn show. I agree, but it was what he said in Arnhem , that struck a deep emotion in Me. One of the next gigs might be the

Thanks Dean. this could mean: "I'm not supposed to tell journalists anything, so I'll kick it into the long grass to be difficult" or "They keep adding tracks, and at this rate it will be as long a All Things Must Pass and take me ages to finish producing" or "With the UK, Australia and US tours in 2018 they won't have enough time to finish a new

Quotemailexile67 On "Timeisonoursides" site it saidecember 2, so all the Stones were together 2 days ago likely in a recording studio maybe in NYC or in LA. The Awards ceremony was on 2nd December, so I'm sure this video was filmed several days or even weeks in advance. It could even have been in Paris in late October. Or it could have been very recently in a recording studio.

QuoteRocky Dijon Are they back at Ocean Way? That's interesting. I had heard it was Henson, but I trust your knowledge over mine, Citadel. No inside knowledge so no trust needed! I just looked at the photo and checked photos of studios the band had used in LA in the recent past. Same for Keith in NYC.

There are several pictures of Keith in that New York studio on his Facebook page. Its Studio 1 at that location. Some of those photos date back 2 or 3 years. Looks like its his current favourite for writing and recording. From this and the Mick photo (in LA) I'm guessing they are doing demos of songs for the band to record sometime soon.

Mick is definitely in a recording studio in Los Angeles. The band recorded there before. The photo is from Studio B at this particular venue.

The Stones play for a guarantee from the local promoter. I suppose they might get a share of the extra over the guarantee (after the local promoter's costs). I'm sure they have a say in the actual prices of tickets but as we've seen this year they can vary enormously (eg PIT in Germany versus Stockholm). They (or their tour promoter) certainly came up with the lucky dip concept.

A sad reminder of why security at gigs is much tighter and why revealing the location of well-known people (like the band's hotel) is risky. The shooter in Las Vegas was firing from a room only 3 or 4 floors below the Stones' (and their team's) hotel rooms last year...

Quotestone4ever My God Keith looked happy in his work last night. I new he could still play like this, thank you Keith for showing everyone you still have what it takes. Its fair to say the Stones are better in arena'a yes. His son and one or two of his daughters were in the audience - that should make him happy!

QuoteLorenz Quotesyrel Just got back from the show, which was very good. Better than Munich - some of the warhorses were back to top form (though I still hope that they warm up a bit more when they start the indoor shows, as some songs still seem a bit sluggish to me) and nice to hear a live debut. However, I have a question - there was a guest piano player, sitting alongside Chuck. I think it

I didn't think my Review of Munich was negative - they made a few slips. Anyone on this board who doesn't can also probably walk on water. It was a great show in Munich, enjoyed by everyone. if you want perfection every time go and see a classical orchestra. No slips, no excitement, no tension - it ain't the Stones. Alwyn
