I would be fine with a mini-tour if it did not end in Vegas.
I don't want to see the Stones go out with their last show in America being held in Las Vegas.
Add 2 concerts ..... Red Rocks and MetLife Stadium (or,better yet,the Coney Island Amphitheatre).
They have not had a show in the northeastern United States in more than 3 years so,it would sell.

My wild bet is they will plat live till Charlie's 80 birthday
It will be simply called
The old dudes tour
I don't forsee any big announcement or link to births/anniversaries happening.
Unless of course a health issue intervenes.
Certainly no Last Waltz, which doesn't seem to be Mick's style at all.

They should look at the final Tragically Hip tour. The show last night was awesome. Total class & very powerful. There wasn't a dry eye in the house. Of course the elephant in the room was Gordon Downie doesn't have much time left. He'd definitely going out with his boots on.

Found an article this morning that a decision to stop touring requires no rehearsals. And that was from Gord. We will get some barn burner shows from the Stones only the tour schedule will be shorter.

Bill preferred touring without rehearsals. He found rehearsals boring.

Buffalo is quite a long distance from the coastal areas.

Cholie's definitely the "weak" link. My guess is one day his desire to live a quiet life will be stronger than his loyalty to the band. At that point it'll be over.

Let's not be so U.S. centric. Try New York, LA, Toronto and London!
Chicago is not nearly the size of Toronto or London and they have much more history in both those cities

They don't go by size, they go by what they like and what is new and what is remaining on the shortlist these days.

To whoever referred to Charlie as the 'weak link' -

I'm looking forwards to hearing lots if old blues tunes played in Las Vegas - from their forthcoming album!

The perfect end in US would be 2-5 nights at MSG in November together with the Exhibition.

I really hate saying this but if there's any "weak link" it would be Keith. I love him to death but his skills have been in a slow decline for quite awhile, whereas Mick, Ronnie and Charlie are still playing extremely well.
