Here's a much more entertaining explanation of cricket ! This is the one I was looking for earlier when I had to settle for the sensible answer This should clear it up "You have two sides, one out in the field and one in. Each man that's in the side that's in goes out, and when he's out he comes in and the next man goes in until he's out. When they ar

There'll no doubt be some grain of truth in it. Papers like the sun don't tend to invent stories...they just dress them up and embelish them for dramatic effect. Somebody that knows Keith has probably let slip that he's had the odd game of tennis. After that they wing it. Point is that Keith's evidently well on the mend.

If you're REALLY interested ;^) All you ever needed to know about cricket - but were afraid to ask! The basics: Cricket is played between two teams: each team has 11 players. A Test Match is scheduled to be played over five days but it often finishes quicker than that. There are usually five test matches in a 'series' (but not always). Throughout each Test Match each team o

Here's one version ;^) "(KP International) – Despite the rust and moss growing on ageing Rolling Stones guitarist Keith Richards figures it's never too late to start a workout regime. Richards, who is currently recovering from a brain operation after he fell from a coconut tree while on vacation in Fiji, has reportedly started to get back in shape for the remaining leg of the S

"...haven't done anything valuable for serious long time " So nobody listens to, or gets any enjoyment from listening to the Stones more recent output ? ...or gets that electric buzz at a concert when they hit the stage ? Who decides what's "valuable" ? Music critics with their heads up their arses... or the folks spinning the discs and attending the gigs ?

Ronnie Scott's is ace. I saw Charlie sitting in there a few years ago. Great vibe.

Whilst not disputing Mr Gilmour's undoubted prowess as a guitarist and musician... ...all this from a dude who's traditional idea of a live gig has been a bunch of lazers and an effects rack bigger than most players' backline !

Point of useless information chaps ;^). Technically speaking, it's only "shepherd's pie" if made with minced lamb. With beef it's "cottage pie" ..but most folks call either "shepherd's pie"

I suppose that's because most Norwegians speak perfect English ! Since when did Keith ever make "announcements" about anything. Just not his style. I suspect he probably feels more embarassed and fed up than anything else at the moment. There'll be further announcements when there's something to announce. As folks above have said, the tour will take a lot of h

That's why all the news leaks out from other sources first too. You can't just re-arrange the whole tour in half an hour and post it on RS.com. All the arrangements have to individually worked out and agreed. Individual promoters then can't keep their big mouths shut because they want to start...errmm...promoting.

I took my son to his first stones concert when he was about that age. He spent half the concert on the shoulders of two big bikers who adopted him for the evening and made sure he saw every moment. ...Nice folks, us Stones fans ;^)

I'm with shidoobee. I'm also rather amused by the seemingly common impression that keith is old and fragile. 62 is NOT old...especially if you are lucky enough to have that resilient constitution. The stunts Keith's pulled over the years and the abuse he's subjected his body to aren't clever...but they do show that he's made of strong stuff. The '70s

As a band they defined a whole sub-genre of dirty, bluesy R&B. They still do it better than anybody. And how many other "rock bands" are there that can also take country or soul songs, stamp them with their own unmistakable style and yet retain the the feel and authenticity. I'm certainly in the camp that thinks the Stones pay a little too much attention to putting on

You will need to keep the bass well down with the HRD. The tone stack is wired oddly on the stock amp.The low end can get get muddy and lose it's "bark" if you have much bass dialled in...which is the last thing you want when trying to capture that "clean with attitude" type of sound which Keith favours these days. Try bass on 2, , treble and mids around 8 [2 o'cl
