I don't think Ronnie will ever be "kicked out" of the Stones. At most they would probably say he is on temporary leave to deal with his medical issues, and will rejoin the band later in the tour, if it starts without him... Even Brian was told he could come back after he was "sacked"... Maybe it could be a tour with Keith, Ron, and Eric on guitars... Now that would be wo

Keith on Jack White: "You get it from guys, players, "Watch this cat"... Then when Jack and I had a chance to chat, we found that we both have an abiding love of Ramblin' Jack Elliott, The Everly Brothers, and Arthur Crudup... He's a good man." Sounds like a good start right there... There's a friendship, a musical rapport, and apparently they've been

I think they might go with Jack White on guitar if Ronnie can't make the tour... Keith seems to like him and hit it off with him (see his comments in the latest issue of Rolling Stone)... Mick likes to go with young, hip artists and has already performed with him on Shine A Light... It would liven things up musically... I can't see Keith going along with a heavyweight from the 60s like

I met George Thorogood when he was on tour with the Stones in 1981. I saw him at the Keystone Palo Alto club, just after they played at Candlestick Park in San Francisco. He was there to see Mink Deville (RIP)... I saw George in the club and went up and chatted with him, told him I had seen him play several times. He was very friendly and polite, no rock star attitude at all. He sat down at a

Just saw an interview with Chuck on MSNBC. His focus was on the environment. He obviously knows a lot and is quite articulate about environmental issues. He has a new website focusing on this. At the end of the interview, he was asked if there is any scoop on the Stones. He said something like, "I wish I knew... Mick, Keith, call me! I need to work..."

I saw Buddy Guy play last August in LA with George thorogood and Elvin Bishop on the same bill. Buddy blew everybody away - his playing and his showmanship and energy was incredible. His second guitarist was great too, although he played a lot like Buddy. I think his name is Rick Hall... Maybe the Stones should add Buddy as a third guitarist on the next tour, as they did on Champagne and Reefe

a stones tour is up to mick, not ronnie or anyone else... if mick feels up to it and wants to do it, the rest will follow. he might feel the need to do it one more time for the glory or for the money, but he might just be tired of it. i see it being more like the 99 no security tour, a quick tour of US arenas to thank the fans, and maybe a last stop in london. but the stones have nothing left
