vox12string, Okay, I am a luddite when it comes to all this new fangled technology. Can you give me a brief explanation as to how to use this RO torrent thing?

Okay, I know it's out there and I am reaching out to a fellow brother from the area (yes you, Drake). I can't get signed on to dime due to some "too many users" nonsense. But I was at the show, as well as Nashville 97 and Columbus 99 and 02. I believe we're from the same region of the country, therefore I am making an overtly pathetic plea to yours and my shared provincia

Okay guys, I am feeling vaguely optimistic. Why don't we see, for the hell of it, if we can take this thread somewhere. Isn't it known that minds from the Stones' camp visit this site? If you're feeling game, let's each name 10 songs that we personally would like to see done at the Beacon Theatre show that have not been on dvd yet. Maybe the right person (i.e. someone lik

My take on Little T&A in Louisville was that it was ragged, a little shakey, and - oh yeah - fun! I was just so jazzed to hear Keith "rock eet up now" w/one of my all-time faves I could have cared less if it wasn't note-perfect. As for the horns? I swear some of you bitch just to bitch. The horns barely play on the song. A little 3-note riff as the song returns to the D chor

Thanks all of you. This may well have been my favorite Stones show of them all. And let me add one more thing. This was my 4th show, the first being Nashville, TN in 1997 on the Bridges tour. Well, at that show they opened w/"Satisfaction." Interestingly enough they did not do that song at either of my next two shows: Columbus, OH in '99 and '02. So anyway, well aware that thi

Okay, I'll go ahead and get it out of the way: no "Monkey Man", "Under My Thumb", no "Sway". We got instead "IORR", "Brown Sugar", "Tumbling Dice", "Start Me Up", and "Sympathy For The Devil". Could have been a snoozer of a show except for one thing: the band was ON! The Rolling Stones were clearly having a great

Yeah, I have a nice audience 2 disc set. I figured that was all that was out there, but it's always worth asking about. Obviously it was recorded profesionally, so who knows maybe one day...

I have to say people, I will go to sleep tonight like a little schoolboy the day before Christmas who enters his slumber knowing Santa will have left him presents the next morning. It's almost here, fellow Southerners and southern-travelers! This will be my 5th and probably last Stones concert. I say that for 2 reasons: it could be ages before I could afford another one of these shows, a

I was just going on in the Tell Me section about the performance of "Stray Cat Blues" from this show and it got me to remembering what an amazing performance this show was, probably my favorite in many ways from the tour. Anyway, I am sure this is a longshot, but we all know it was professionally taped/recorded, as evidenced by the "Four Flicks" dvd and the inclusion of a

Agreed about the Wiltern version. While not quite as polished as some of the Licks theatre shows, this one has always stood high above them all as the most passionate of all the smaller venue shows of the tour. Damn, what a show.

I liked it personally (though I was worried I wouldn't). I really like some of the earlier live versions - the one from the "Let's Spend The Night Together" film being a highlight (was that the Hampton show?). I think the best live version may actually be the one Keith did w/the Winos at the Palladium. Either way, even if the horns aren't necessary it's still a

Hi there. Anyone have a decent recording of this? I have one from the Tokyo shows, and it's decent if a little iffy sounding. I'm also on the lookout for "Get Off Of My Cloud" in good SB quality as well. Thanks in advance to anyone that can help.

If the band continues this tour w/setlists like opening night on Wednesday, it could be very telling. What have the fans been asking for? Sway, Aint Too Proud To Beg, Little T&A, You Got the Silver, Under My Thumb. How many warhorse "crowd pleasers" did we get out of those 19 songs? 5 I think? My point is, playing more songs like this could be a sign it's the last go-around.

Beauforde, if you're addressing me w/that then you've got the wrong guy. You'll see in my post that I think the new setlist sounds like a damn fine rave-up - the kind of setlist I've been hoping for years now. And I agree w/John R that they need to dig more deeply into this new disc. After all, this is likely the last time they'll be in the US (at least on a world tour

Look, I am as excited about this wonderful new setlist as anybody. I mean, really! This is as good as ANYTHING from the Licks tour, save for the club shows. But don't forget the last Boston opening night a year ago. Probably the most interesting setlist of the tour. After that? They just kept playing it safer and safer w/each show. But I'll keep my fingers crossed that they will keep

Big deal. Did people come to hear him play the song or sing it? Shit, he hardly plays on Happy or any of this other solo songs. It hangs around his neck while he strikes the odd chord until it comes time for his solo. That last remark wasn't intended as a criticism, by the way. Merely an obsevation.

Yes, yes, I know I ask every week for someone who can post this. But my understanding is that it's out there - and in good soundboard quality no less - so why not ask? Since I don't have it after all. I have always wanted to compare the "officially" released one to this show. Bottom line: I will keep posting this request and bugging the hell out of people until someone give

Okay, another dumb question: does anyone know how to convert these files to mp3? The sound is wonderful but I am not sure how to burn them to disc. By the way, for what it is worth I only downloaded the songs that weren't released on the official "Live At The Hollywood Palladium" record.
