They only have 3 lps. The first album called New York Dolls is great all the way thru. If you can find the Rock and Roll cd it has all the songs from both albums. The new one is excellent. Avoid any of the live compilations, they are really poor quality.

Very few bands have been able to pull off the "comeback", especially with only 2 original members. Surprisingly, the New York Dolls have done remarkably well. Their live shows are awesome!, as good or even better than 30 years ago. Their new CD is really good too.

Does anybody know of any soundboard (or FM) recordings of Mannish Boy, Walk and Don't look Back or Get Up Stand Up from the last 2 or 3 tours. I don't think I have ever come across any. All I have is Mannish Boy (of course) from Love You Live. The audience recordins are good but I'd love a crystal clear soundboard.

It might possibly, with all due respect, be to the fact that they are all elderly gentlemen in their 60's. I find it amazing that they are still playing these giant stadium shows at all. For those of you who aren't musicans, let me tell you that for anybody to stand on stage and play guitar, and run around for 2 hours is not so easy.
