The possibility of this going ahead now seems unlikely as the Athens date is confirmed for the 25th June, leaving Milan on the 22nd as the only Italian date.

The article states "The Stones....may recoup £10m from the sale of the DVD". I'm sure this will be released before the European tour starts. Depending on how well the concert goes, we should get news before long on the anticipated Rome date.

In the first verse of Rough Justice the word 'cocks' was not heard, was this: a) broadcasters censorship (if so shame on you) b) technical failure (see sub-section 'input-device malfunction'...ahem! of course I mean microphone not working!) c) Mick failed to sing it ('chickened out' I guess) Whatever this is clearly the first instance of 'bird fl

I'd be pretty sure Rough Justice is the middle number of three, the other two will be golden oldies.

I went to the Heineken brewery on my first overseas trip in 1974, just after Holland won the World Cup (now that's REAL football). In those days the the tours, twice daily, were in the morning, and due to its popularity was advised to go to the early one, so I dashed down there one day before breakfast. The end of the tour included around 20 minutes to sample their beer. The invitation to

Sky Sports are showing the Superbowl tomorrow night, do they have the rights to broadcast the half time show? Anybody know of any bar in London showing it all?

Of course the Stones aren't at the Superbowl for the benefit of the citizens of Detroit, it's the kick of being outrageous to zillions of people slumped in their armchairs around the world. How many black people go to Stones concerts or would watch a concert on TV? How many black people will watch the Superbowl either live at the game or at home? The latter I'd guess far out

First saw The Who in the early '70s, rushing to the edge of the stage to be around six feet from Townshend's Doc Martin boots. Saw them last at the Isle of Wight open air festival in June 2004, and the televised Albert Hall concert the same year. Whilst Daltrey unfortunately doesn't have the voice he used to, the band still thrill. I can still do a mean air guitar imitating

...from 22.00 on Sunday they have coverage of the NFL Superbowl from Detroit. As many of you know the Stones are playing in the half-time show,so maybe we may hear something of their short set live in the early hours of Monday morning GMT.

Give the kid credit...young Wolfie was a pretty prolific composer and, (talking about his generation), died before he got old. I can assure it is possible to love the Stones and young Maddie equally. Will the Stones still be remembered in 200 years?

Don't expect any legit dvd release from this North American tour, much of the material on Four Flicks a couple of years back. I'd love a compilation from upcoming South America, Australia/NZ and the Far East concerts concerts to demonstrate the global pulling power of the Stones.

Twice in the last couple of weeks I've heard Stones songs in my local Asda store here in the UK. The latest, earlier this week, was Don't Stop (it's true) which I guess is an appropriate song for a shopping environment! I'm hoping that Asda (part of the U.S. Wal-Mart chain of stores) are involved in a promotional campaign that will reward its regular customers with a couple

Thanks jacopo I can understand a little Italian, but an English version of the site in preparation for my visit from London to Milan (and maybe Rome!) in late June would be very welcome.

Shepherds Pie should contain lamb not beef, after all whoever heard of a shepherd looking after cattle. Cottage Pie however is similar but made from minced beef. Either are great winter fuel, making them is pretty easy, but finding a restaurant that'll sell them is a problem, even here in the UK ('greasy spoon' caffs are your best bet).

If the Stones donated some of the royalties they've received for their versions of 'Love in Vain' over the years they could buy this building outright. Without Mr Johnson, such a classic would remain unknown.

In the football programme for Chelsea FC's game yesterday there was a full page advertisement for the album 'A Bigger Bang'. A bit strange, considering it's been available for months, and the summer dates at Wembley are 8 months away (and 'sold out' anyway).
