The 'Old Bastards'(2003) version features a 45min extra in the form of the Dick Cavett Show on ABC dated 11 August 1972. This features versions of Brown Sugar and Street Fighting Man from the MSG performance on 25 July 1972. There's also interviews with Mick and Bill W and with fans outside the Garden. Concerts film quality I'd describe as good, perfectly watchable,

The first record I ever bought was a collection of Beatles singles, the second Simon and Garfunkel's best selling album and then thirdly Hendrix 'Smash Hits'. Listening to music would never be the same after that. Nobody (not even the Stones) come close to Hendrix at his best.

After all the ticket price of £160 is about the same as the Stones are charging for top price tickets at higher capacity Stadium (rather than Arena) venues in Sheffield, Glasgow and Cardiff. I bet there's still plenty available at these Stones UK concerts away from London.

#3 Altamont according to Graham Nash: "people refuse to believe that CSN&Y were at Altamont, the reason being that the Stones wrote the history of that. We were received very well, but we got the hell out of there because we played at UCLA that same night. Consequently, when you don't stick around and do the press afterward, people don't have any idea that you were there.

The comments about waiting in line overnight to buy tickets in person for the ticket office to open was pretty common in my early days of concert going. The first concert I ever went to was The Moody Blues,at the Gaumont in Southampton in 1969....what on earth was I thinking? The hard pavement was certainly not covered in white satin!

here's an eye witness account of 3rd National Jazz Festival at Richmond in 1963, reproduced courtesy of " Early Sunday evening Acker played a set on the main stage while the Stones did their stuff in the club house. It was packed, if you had fainted you could not have hit the floor. At the end of the set Mick Jagger gave a little speech saying that we were running to a timetable an

On a flight back to London from Casablanca (Morocco) in the late '80s I settled into my aisle seat in the first row of Economy class. The dividing curtain between us commoners and those in First was open for people to walk through, and who was one of the last to board but Mick, with Jerry Hall and a very young girl (presumably one of Mick's offspring). Of course, with everyone on boa

is this crazy? I bought a FOS ticket yesterday for Paris, the total cost to include delivery, travel from and return to London by Eurostar train and a nights accomodation at a central 2 star hotel in one of the worlds great cities, is only a little more than the cost of buying just a top price ticket for one of the UK dates. It wouldn't suprise me if there were many many seats unsold

I'm a Brit living just a few miles from Mick and Keith's birthplace. I'm going to be in Milan for the 22nd June date, flight, hotel and concert tickets booked, (best seats half the cost that of Wembley). I'm going because I love Italy, and I'm sure the fans going to the concert will be as enthusastic as anywhere else. Sadly I don't expect a Rome date on the

of course some of us were there (at Wembley). Many people were thinking before the event, this thing can't work, could be a hugely embarassing fiasco, a whopping £25 for a ticket etc. As it turned out....the most amazing day in my life !! The highlight of the day... ...the video accompanying The Cars 'Drive'...watch it and weep. U2 the best artist on the day.
