QuoteSwayed1967 Pure poetry from the crackle to the sniff. No shame in farmyard congress if the pigs are willing. never took this to mean bestiality, but rather sex with cops..especially with the line that follows.

i stumbled into a long gone CD store on St. Marks place and came across a treasure trove of "albums" i'd never heard of...some live and even better some studio boots. While i don't recall the number, it was one form the Ultra rare Trax collection, though i ultimately bought 1-6. I ended up spending so much money in that store in the late 80s/early 90s!

always loved this song from PP&F A;so has very prominent backing vocals by Mick): I always figured it was about Mackenzie, but it sure took on a different meaning after the allegations in her book (titled after a line from the song!). I never bothered reading the book, does she mention this song in it?

this is from the David Frost show in '68 and seems to be a R&R Circus rehearsal, all the way down to Mick practicing hiding the, yet to be drawn, devil tattoo. How did he get such a clip and are there more out there? Maybe the Stones gave this out to promote their upcoming show, though he never mentions the R&R Circus ... or was it after it was shelved?? anyone know? A

saw them at the Roselawn ballroom in 1983. went because of what is heard of them on MTV, wasnt too exciting. i recall enjoying the opener much more--a rockabilly band called the Elvis brothers.

i loved that when it first aired. I think the best line is when "MicK' says something like "what is that, Esperanto or something" after "Keith's" babble devolves into gibberish.

at about 11 or 12 (circa 1978) all my friends were starting to have "favorite bands," so i figured i should have one too. I decided to pick the Rolling Stones. I recalled a commercial on tv a lot back then (maybe a little earlier) for a Stones greatest hits album and their songs sounded pretty good (was Hot Rocks advertised on TV in the early 70s?). Funny Story, not long after i he

i'm not complaining, but this past show (NJ2) was the first time i have ever seen them where i didn't hear at least one song i hadn't heard live before (21 prior shows starting in '81). i cant say i was expecting a new one (for me), but i was hoping. I guess if i had read any set lists in advance, I'd have known.

if you read the stories, the '69 tour was the skyrocket tour, as they were asking for 8.50 for some seats!! Ralph Gleason really went after then that tour. That was 12 years before my first show, but i still cant picture a time when that was considered price gauging!

anyone know anything about this author--Patrick Humphries? Do we trust him to come up with anything interesting, on a topic we all know everything about already? BV is pumping it up in the NEWS section, for sure: The book "Rolling Stones 69", published by Patrick Humphries on Omnibus Press, is a detailed document celebrating fifty year since the year of 1969, an important year

MSG November '81 standard set list for that tour I was 14 and won the "tattoo Me" post card raffle; the ticket was about 33 bucks. My mom was shocked I'd pay that much for a concert! who'd a thunk that 38 years later at my last show I'd pay LESS than that for LDs (in the pit!) in NJ (though a whole lot more was spent on the 20 shows in between those over the

not that they are usually all that special, but i have one from every tour I've been to (which is every tour since 1981), so i wanted to get one this time around. I didn't see any in NJ when I went, so i just googled it and came up with this: odd that they are on back order...did they not have them ready for the actual tour, or did they sell out and are now restocking?

well, its not quite the NY Times, or even Rolling Stone magazine as music periodicals go, but a couple of posters here were cited to in this otherwise silly article in Keith, that morphs into an article on Mick. []
