"Tom Waits in Spain for the first time July 12th San Sebastian and 14,15th Barcelona, tickets between 100 and 125 euros, around 155 and 185 dolars, and people still complaining about Stones prices??" Carlitos, why do you think that high prices for an act are justifying high prices for another act?

noughties, also i think he plays all the songs from Z to A too. And he sings too. And sometimes he does play two quitars simultaneity. The question is who the hell does play drums, but i'm sure you have an answer. "Keep your money!!"?? Thanks, keep your advices.

1962 wrote: "SAL is not a live album it's a soundtrack.I think it's a bit something else isn't it?" Typically SAL is live album & soundtrack. Actually it's the definition of the words "live album", IMO. SAL doesn't include music written FOR a movie. SAL doesn't include songs created by various artists and being heard during a movie. skipstone, we say the same but in other words. The only difference is that i believe selling 100,000 copies (i mean studio albums) in the US market is NOT a good result for FAMOUS bands, EVEN today. Maybe in five years from now selling 80,000 in USA will be a great result for anyone. But not YET. I hope now we understand each other. As for ABB, 2.6 million copies worldwide do mean very good

"Selling 100,000 in the US now is considered a lot." Who says that? I'm talking about sales done worldwide. Look at the general level of the sales these days and you'll understand what i mean. Today 2.6 millios are good sales.

If anyone believes that 2.6 million copies sold is a bad result nowadays, then he lives in a fantasy land. Simple as that.

skipstone wrote: "The album is still in the Top 200? That's astounding!" There's something more impressive than it, skipstone: SAL stayed for six weeks on the Worldchart's Top 50, spending four weeks on the 20 higher positions (#33, #6, # 10, #12, #16, #25). By the measures of live album sales, SAL could be considered as monster seller. Almost.

I already have expressed my opinion on this borad. JJF from SAL is the best song's version since 1969 and the whole album is the best Stones live record since then.

"Is It Me Or Are The Stones Seen As Uncool By Most People Nowadays?" It is you. Obviously... I think the so called "general public" does accept what the Stones do nowadays in a clearer way compared to late 80s and 90s , at time when the "old farts" theory was much more popular IMO. Also the huge majority of the Press seems to speak in flattering terms of the Stone

Greece: third week, two positions higher! Now SAL is #14. First week #17, second week #16 and now #14. That's impressive as for a live album (on Foreign Album Charts SAL is #4). SAL movie isn't on yet in Greece, but the reviews for SAL CD on greek press are very positive. Who knows, maybe SAL album is going to score another round of success here, when movie will be shown.

What does happen if you play backwards a vinyl record of country music? Your wife returns, your dog comes back to life, your house is forming. (Why? Because every country song's subject is the same: "My wife left me, my dog passed away, my house is on fire"...)

He sings with soul and passion, even if he sounds tired a few times (something that happened MANY TIMES in the middle seventies). If a man at the age of 64 hasn't these elements, sou

I has explained (not only on this thread), as better as my poor english allow me to do, the reasons why i consider SAL as the best live official Stones stuff since 1970. The reasons why this raw, energetic, absolutely rocking album moves me more than anything else from the past, except "Ya Yas", which is #1 of course. Hate to repeat, so i only have to expess my opinion of this new "
