"Stripped is the most interesting of the others." The word "others" includes SAL or not, drbryant?

I haven't seen the movie yet, but SAL CD is the definition of the exact meaning "absolute rock gig". Energetic, raw, charming.

Good points and fair observations, Justin. In addition, at the same time we could have here 50 different threads about Keith (now we have 2-3...) and express exactly the same opinions...

OK guitarbastard, nevermind... Don't worry about me, i have clean ears since 1961 (i was born then) and much cleaner since 1973, at time when a became a Stones fan...

J-J-Flash wrote: "In Barcelona, Keith was fine, a little weak at the beginning but getting better as the concert was going on" That's exactly my impression too, from Barcelona. I was not in Madrid. After having seen 8 ABB shows (Barcenola included) my conclusion is that Keith was fine, OK or decent. Decent at worst. (I have not attended the fist shows of the european tour's

"No its not a matter of taste. its a matter of hearing! he plays exactly the same lick on every song. and it just sounds terrible!" Well quitarbastard, my ears tell me Keith still delivers, your ears are telling you Keith "sounds terrible", so after all it's a matter of taste indeed. To be honest, i have heard Keith while he was almost "dead". But not in the

I think SAL sells very well. If i'm wrong georgelicks will correct me, but the last live stuff i have seen on Worldchart was REM's live album. (October 2007). It has stayed three weeks on Worldchart selling 139,600 copies. On it's two weeks SAL has already sold 148,000 or 159,000 (as georgelicks said, there are two sources). Yes, SAL has a lot of publicity thanks to the movie. O

Totally agree, Niklas! My personal valuation... Get Yer Ya- Yas Out 10/10 (Perfect!) Love You Live 5,5/10 (So frivolous...Bad Mick's singing) Still Life 7,5/10 (No more than this, despite i'm dying for the versions of Under My Thumb, LSTNT and Time Is On My Side. Yes, the guitars sound a little thin but the album is very energetic. Horrible Satisfaction) Flas

Here, in Greece, SAL will be shown in a month (!) from now. Maybe a month plus... What an exasperating delay! Does it happen in other european countries? Just curious... Thanks.

I have not seen the movie yet as here, in Greece, we still have to wait for it a bit longer... But as for CD, hey, the performance was really excellent.

Personally i consider 1978 round as the most unstable and frivolous Stones tour ever. At their "peak" the performances offered us magic moments ("Handsome Girls"). But

Matti, i love vinyl too. And i'm buying albums from stores. But the "population" of the buyers decreases. Industry wants profit. Industry will not be reliant on collectors, you know that. Even if the prediction about "four- five years" sounds a bit excessive, what is coming isn't what we would wish...

Thanks georgelicks. Strong sales. I think SAL deserves it. Excellent live stuff. BTW, anybody can see how low the general level of sales is... An album of a famous, good selling act like REM's sells 469,500 copies on it's two first weeks. (If i remember correctly, ABB had sold 1.1 million on it's two first weeks). Music only taken from Internet? Who knows, maybe in four - five

17 April, 1967. First Stones concert in Athens, Greece. Riotous year(s), then, in Athens. Stormy demonstrations, everyday, in the streets. Police beats students and comes to blows with construction workers. Police has an extremely strong distrust of all public meetings and gatherings. Concerts included… To the majority of the press the band is a very strange, unnatural phenomenon, at best. A

Harm wrote: "I think 60.000 copies between the US/UK isn't very much considering all the publicity they had" Count some factors. First: It's a live album, not new stuff. Second: It's the 5th Stones live album in the last 17 years and the 4th in the last decade. Third: many people probably wait for the DVD. Four: the level of the sales nowadays. At time when Shery

"...but unable to produce new sound songs anymore..." Sorry, but expecting new sound, in other words a kind of musical revolution, from a band being around for 46 years it's a bit childish to me. I don't think that's the definition of creativity in the case...

1. Jumping Jack Flash (To me, it's by far the best song's version included in an official live album since "Ya -Yas"! Much better than LYL and Flasphoint versions...) 2. Sime Girls 3. All Down The Line, She Was Hot, Shattered, As Tears Go By, Just My Imagination (Don't ask me how could all these songs share the "bronze medal"! Sorry, i cannot select one

"The SAL movie is great... but the CD is even better, I can't stop playing the CD 1," Me too, georgelicks! But also CD2 does offer energetic and raw performances- and a few sloppy moments, honestly, are not annoying in my ears. You know, i can understand some hardcore fans who feel tired of hearing "warhorses" live for 1000th time in their live, but, hey, that's a

I'm not so nostalgic... Yes, LSTNT was very energetic stuff. And the versions of Under My Thumb, LSTNT and Time Is On My Side were almost perfect. But, as King Snake said, the guitars sound thin. Very thin to me. And what a horrible Satisfaction... horrible. I enjoyed much more many Stones performances since 1989. To me the "golden years 1978- 1981" is a boring clishe.

Good morning folks. One of the biggest greek newspapers (“Eleftherotypia”) published a long Scorsese’s interview.
