Except for Charlie, they really don't face the audience straight away the entire show. In fact. they are in almost constant 360 motion, Keith often turns to Charlie for periods at a time, as does Mick, so I don't think it's just a view of their bums...and the huge audience as a backdrop will be an experience in and of itself.

Bjornulf, Since you were at the show, did Mick also play harp on Back of My Hand?

I have a boot of that '75 show on vinyl but don't have a turntable to play it on. Was it great? By the way, the slide stuff that really blows me away and which I can never play is the Muddy Waters stuff from his later live record. To borrow a line I once heard, the solo on Streamline Woman will rip one's face clean off!

A question for guitar players who play slide... Is it just me, or do you find it easy to play slide...especially in open tuning? Some seem to do it with ease, I find it easy and natural (I say so humbly) but I've met a few players who just can't do it.

I hate to sound like a broken record, but it seems lik it would be a great song for Mick to act out...which seems to be what gets him going the most... Did Bernard do Billy's part?

I would LOVE a really really long version of Little Queenie...just keep it rolling for a good eight to ten minutes...the place WOULD be out of control!

In "Everybody" on Live Licks he says toward the end "I'm outta here!" I like "well, well" and anything to do with "sister." All of this stuff, and his great timing of it, is part of what makes them so damn special!

The two ticket minimum IS odd...I can't quite figure it out unless some research found that in those price catgories there is less risk with two... By the way, if anyone wants to send money to a charity that really, really, really does a good job for people who literally cannot help themselves, drop me a line (unless of course it violates using this site...no offense inteded!)

ripthisjoint...an understandable but mistaken assumption. When charities have events, let's say a golf outing or a dinner, only the amount of money beyond the expense incurred by the charity to conduct the event goes to the "cause." So if you pay $350 to attened a charity golf outing, there's a good chance that after paying expenses the value of your donation is only about $

I say good for them. For eight years I have been on the board of a not-for-profit affiliated with United Way and can tell you, somewhat sadly, that it often takes something novel to raise money. It wouldn't surprise me if they were generous as individuals, albiet privately, but this idea can be beneficial to agencies that can use the money. I know ours can! Way to go!

I always warn those around me after the opening act. I tell them I follow the Stones to different cities and ask them if they have questions about the show (unless of course its opening night). I even tell them to listen for the "strumm of the chord" which means we're less than a minute from the lights going down. The vast majority of the time they warm up pretty fast, listen fo

15 minutes of particular greatness...Beast of Burden, Waiting on a Friend and Let It Bleed from Hampton Rhodes in '81...(on tape it sounds like signals were crossed during the solo part of Let It Bleed but the song just grinds, chuggs, and flows along all in one until Woody starts his slide bit...wonderful...I wish they would "rhythym" parts one in a while...they sound like a well-

He was candid with me about which ones were good and which weren't. You may want to ask his opinion before odering. For my part, I like Oakland '02 and Charlotte '99 where Keith's intro to and solo during Route 66 are priceless.
